Since this past Friday I've been getting this terrible pain in my lower pelvic area.I kinda set it aside the first day because I had been working and running around like crazy cuz it was a crazy day at work and then with taking care of my 2 yr old daughter and errands.
It went away after I was home relaxing a couple hours later.Though it's continuted to come back and each time it gets worse. We're leaving the movies last night and we get half way to the car and I just had to stop and it damn near doubled me over...had I not been holding onto Mark I probably would've been on the ground. It went away within a min or so and that was it till this morning when I caved and went to the ER's basic care clinic.

I wasted 5 hrs there just for them to give me a small shot for pain meds, pee in a cup and tell me EVERYTHING under the sun that it could possibly be and things they could do to narrow it down more but weren't willing to in the end.Soooo, here I sit in pain and not knowing why.All the dr told me was that if it continued within the next week to go and see my obgyn.ugh.Anyone ever go thru this and/or have any ideas what it could be.

What can I do next?

It could be an ovarian cyst or ectopic pregnancy, either of which could be pretty serious. If they couldn't give you an answer, go see your OB/GYN immediately. Call and tell them that you need an emergency appt. Don't mess around if you're in that much pain! A friend of mine's daughter recently had an ovarian cyst that burst and didn't stop bleeding. She ended up in emergency surgery and almost lost the ovary.

I am not sure why you went to the ER rather than seeing a doctor... their main objective is to get you on your feet and out the door (or admitted to the hospital if it is serious enough)- that's what they are there for.
I experienced something similar years ago that turned out to be a pelvic inflammation caused by constant irritation from surgical adhesions I had had after getting an appendectomy the year before. This could have left me infertile, had it not been treated.

Call your OB/GYN ASAP and ask to come in the next possible appointment. If it's a good practice they should be able to get you in next or same day.
It could be something very serious or very simple I would not wait for a week!

When I was pregnant w/ each of my 3 boys, I had pelvic pain, also called 'ligament pain', which happens when you are pregnant!! I know they tested your urine in the ER but maybe you are too early for it to show up. When I was preggo w/ my 3rd, although I was pretty far along, I had the worst pelvic pain, I doubled over in the grocery store, I even called my Dr. and he said it was ligaments streching!! Who knows.....Good luck!!! =)

Call your ob/gyn...let them know you went to the ER...and ask for an emergency appointment with them. Don't wait a week. Do it now.
