Help!
I'm looking for a Pediatric Dermatologist. I have 10 random names from my insurance provider. I searched on Dermatologist and affiliation with Childrens Med. Center, but not sure who to go to. (Pediatric Dermatologist was not a search choice.)
I'm willing to drive about 20 to 30 minutes to a dermatologist for Sierra.

TIA.

Dr Fred Ghali is over in Grapevine. He is one of the very best in the area. We refer to him all of the time.

I highly recommend Robyn (or Robin..not totally sure on spelling) Carder. She used to work at Children's, but is now in private practice...off 75 just north of Walnut Hill. I went to Ghali and did not care for his practice.

Dr. Carder cares for two of my children....both with eczema.

I don't have her number on hand right this minute..but can get it for you.

Good luck!

I am sure you have heard this from a hundred people, but I didn't see anything on this list. Most eczema and other skin problems in infants are manifestations of food allergies. My son (just turned one year old) had acne, eczema, and hives since he was born. At 2 months old, I began a double blind study (on me since I was nursing) concerning food allergens. At 6 months old, we had finally removed all allergens from his diet (corn, soy, dairy, wheat, rye, barley, tomatoes, berries, tree nuts, and peanuts). Wheat, rye, and barley were the last components to go. Within 3 days of the last allergen removal, his skin was perfectly clear, he slept through the night, and quite screaming. Life is really good now unless someone slips up and feeds him an allergen. He will immediately develop a bleeding diaper rash, acne, hives, and eczema, of course, with screaming. I think he is more severe than most children, but you should consider food allergies and a pediatric allergist. Of course, a good dermatologist is going to know and suggest all of this too. (Milk and milk products are the biggest culprit in eczema in babies). GOOD LUCK!
