Hello,

Does anyone see Dr. Kelly Kirtland in Glen Ellyn? She is in our insurance network, so I'm looking for feedback, positive or negative. Also, anyone have any information about Grove Dental? That's where I was planning on going, but they are outside of our PPO so I'd have to pay a little more out of pocket. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Grove dental has several excellent pediatric dentists. They have 4 locations and several pediatric dentists at each one. One of the other things is they do have dentists for adults too so my whole family goes there. If you want more information feel free to email me and I can let you know who see. Also they have quite a few coupons out there for cleanings for new patients for $49 so while they may be out of network with the first visit it will probably not be much if anything out of pocket.

We went to Glen Ellyn Pediatric Dentistry and saw Dr. Lambert. They were fantastic with both my 3 year old and my 1 1/2 year old. We'll glady go there again. Here's their website just incase you want to check them out:

Hi,

My 3.5 yo daughter just saw Dr. Kirtland for her first ever dental visit. Like you, we went with who was in our network. It was great! She is very friendly, and my daughter really enjoyed the visit. She also spent time with me talking about dental care for my younger daughter too, even though it was not her appointment. She really seems to enjoy her work. She was running a little late that day (what dentist doesn't?) and she was SOOO apologetic and said that it's rare that she's running behind for apppointments. My daughter didn't mind- she was having fun with the toys in the waiting room. I would definitely recommend her!

I hear ya. Here is my recommendation. We travel about 45 minutes to get to him but I think he would be closer for you. Definitely check him out!

You will not find another Dentist or even a Doctor like Dr. Matt Karsten, Kids First Dental in Elgin, IL. I am thoroughly impressed by the time that he took to explain things to me, the care that he took with my daughter (23 months) and the office staff. The experience that I had was nothing short of amazing and truly refreshing.

His office is brand new, clean and fun. Perfect for kids. He caters to kids of all ages and takes the time to ensure that kids have a positive experience so that they grow up enjoying taking care of their teeth. He also contracts with most insurance companies where many dentists no longer do so. You will not be disappointed. Check him out!

Here is his website, he will be updating further soon: http://www.kidsfirstpd.com/

We have seen Dr. Kirtland several years ago when my daughter had some serious cavities as a toddler. She was really great--very kind and patient and wonderful with kids. She reassured her and Mommy about everything she was going to do. We currently go to Grove Dental (Boughton Rd) and like it here as well. We live in Bolingbrook so it's closer for us. We see Dr. Mina Chung. She has been great with my kids as well. We've been through some fillings and an extraction and there is still no fear of the dentist.

I can only give advice on Grove Dental in Downers Grove......me and my son have been going to their office for the past four years and they are the BEST! My son who is 11 now had a few bad experiences with different dentists in the past so when I heard about them I figured we could try them out. Well four years later we are still going and my son loves it there. His dentist made him feel very comfortable from the beginning. The dental assistants are GREAT as well! We have not had a bad experience in four years!!!
I recommend them to everyone I know!

We went to Drove Dental, Dr. Cabanna when my 3 yr. old had to have a cavity filled. He was excellent and the staff is awesome with kids. I went to a few other pediatric dentists and did not feel as comfortable with their process as I did with Grove. I highly recommend Dr. Cabanna.

We see Dr. Kirtland and love her! She and her staff are so gentle with the kids. My son is adopted, and his birth mother had no prenatal care. Consequently his baby teeth are a mess. Dr. Kirtland totally understands. We do the "happy dance" together every time one of my son's permanent teeth comes in looking good. My son has had a ton of work done with her (root canals, deep cavities, multiple small cavities), and yet he never minds going to the dentist! I had a horrible experience with the dentist as a child, and I am very picky about the dentist I use for my children. They both really like her.

J.,
I took my son (3 yrs old) to Grove Dental in Wheaton. They were also out of my dental plan network. We love Dr "Bob" Stone. And was worth the extra money. My son ADORES going there. He had such a great experience there and now is obsessed with oral hygiene and keeping his teeth clean. Worth the extra money out of pocket! You will love it there!

I took my 6 year old son there about two years ago to get some fillings done that they wouldn't do at my regular dentist- we had a good experience there- the assistants were really nice and good with kids- only went there the one time though...
