Hello everyone. I am looking for a good pediatric dentist in the Nashua area and was wondering if anyone knew of one. I have heard horror stories of kids first dentist visit and I want to make sure I take my daughter to a good, understanding dentist.
Thanks you for your help.
Oh and any advice on the first trip to the dentist would help. My daughter is going to be 4 and when I told her about the dentist she got scared. I told her they were just going to look in her mouth and that they could look in mommies mouth first if that would make her feel better....

What can I do next?

I took my daughter to Nashua dentistry for Children on Kinsley st. Dr Watman and his staff were very nice : ) It was my youngest's first visit and it went very well. They even mail you a book to read with your child before you visit. It was also very easy to get an appointment no outragious wait time to get one. Unfortunatly our health ins which includes preventive dentist care for kids under 8 is not an ins they accept so I had to switch to Collins dentistry for kids in Pelham. Saving on their cleanings floride and xrays is the only reason I switched and I would have been very happy to have kept my daughters at Nashua dentistry for children. Good luck picking a dentist. We just moved to Nashua 8 months ago and I know what it's like to have to choose a new dentist.

Hi C.,

I take my kids for the last 3-4 years to Dr. Mina Kalali on Northeastern Boulevard. She is patient and kind with the kids, firm if needed. Her staff is wonderful.

Kids pick up on our fears and reservations. She may be picking up your non-verbal cues. Relax, she will be fine.

Good Luck,

My advice is really not to over talk it with her. I have brought my kids to Fasulo and Lafontaine in Nashua. I have learned to let them do the talking with my girls. We've gone throught cleanings and cavities with them and all successful visits. They still get nervous, but the staff calms them down easily.

Our Dentist is Dr. Wm. Bilodeau on Northeastern Boulevard in Nashua. He is more than fabulous - he was #1 in his class. I wish I had been going to him all my life... He's fixed everything that should have been done right in the first place.

He's great with kids. My foster child was six the first time she ever went to the dentist - and he put "stars" on her teeth... Very exciting and fun for her!

He will not allow anyone to us the word "hurt" in his office... Not even, "That didn't hurt, did it?"

I always say that, like the business' my husband and I are in (realtor and chimney service), you never know you have a bad one until it's too late...

Dr. Bilodeau is the best!

Hello,
I highly recommend Columbus Dental in Hudson Nh. My foster daughter who we have since adopted has an anxiety disorder. We took her to DR. Dorrie and they were wonderful with her. The office has video games in the lobby, a huge fish tank, and while the children are in the dental chair they get to pick a movie to watch on their own little video screen at their seat. My daughter also fell about a year after she moved in with us and broke her jaw. Even with the sensitivity of what was going on with her, she was never afraid of the dentist as they were compassionate and understood she was just a scared little girl. Good Luck
