So What Happened?

thank you so much everyone who responded..... I thought build a bear would supply the party, if building a bear is all they supply I really dont think it would be worth it.... Doris mention about a princess party, I have thought of that also.... Would you recommend a place in the Jersey City, NJ area? I just came back from Fla after supporting my other Daughter in her Cheerleaders Nationals Competition and brought Aaliyah a Princess skirt and Wand from the Lego Factory, she loves it all her teddy bears are dressed with her twins baby clothes I am sure she will love this idea more..... any other ideas are welcomed...... again Ty all for your advice, huggggssss Dee

Build a bear sound fun. I dont think she's either too old or too young. She'd have a great time there since they are included in every aspect of making the bear. She gets to stuff the bear and everything. When my daughter's arounf 2 or 3, I plan to have her party there.

I have done parties at Sportsworld on Rte 17 or Rt 4 in Paramus, Funplex on Rte 10 in East Hanover, and he just attended a party Funtime Junction in Fairfield. All of them were pretty good. He's done ChuckECheese twice too but it's good to change up!

We always go to parties at Inflation Sation. It's in Fairfield. I don't know where in NJ you are...but it's alot of fun. It consists of large blow up slides and obstacle courses that the kids love. I think 5 is the perfect age for it too!
Good luck,

I have been to 2 birthday parties at Build A Bear, both for 5 yr old girls. It is suitable for their age group, but there are 2 downfalls I see: 1)they don't do anything with food or cake, you have to go to the food court and do it yourself and 2) there is nothing for parents to do except stand around. if the store is crowded that day, it might be annoying.
hope this helps,

What is your daughter into?? Is she a girlie girl or is she sporty?? My daughter is a girlie girl and when she turned 5 I had a princess party for her. I typed up formal invitations inviteing guest to a ball. the little girls were to wear their princess dresses. When they arrived i had stations set up where they had their hair put up in pretty bearrets and glitter on their hair, then they went had their nails painted, and make-up done on the next station.I bought crowns for them and pearls (all kids items). I took a digital pic of them after and printed it and had them make frames for them. They had juice in champayne plastic cups. The party area was decorated like a castle. It was the most fun she had. She always talks about her princess party.

Hi there,
Have you thought about "Imagine That!". It's in Florham Park, NJ, about 30 minutes north/west of Newark Airport. Close to Short Hills mall. It's absolutely a great place. I am in Staten Island and had my daughter's 3rd birthday there. It's good for all ages. It's a large indoor playground, with a grocery store, ballet area, doctor area, post office, airplane, fire truck, art center, toddler areas, sand box. It's actually part of the NJ Children's Museum. Check out their website. Have fun.

Hi D.,
Where in new jeresey so you live. There is a place in Paramus called kidz Kazoom. It's a great place. they are opened all the time but when there is a party there the place is not opened to the public. I have been there twice and loved it both times. In fact my son will be 5 and i am having his party there

I hear that this place called Jeepers is really nice. I think you can find it online and they do have a location in New Jersey. I think she is old enough for Build a Bear and she might enjoy it. Good Luck.

Hi!
What about taking some of her girfriends to the salon to get their hair and nails done. Call some local salons they do that.
Then when they are all glammed up take a pic of them and put it in a cute princess frame and it can be their party favor.
Also there is this place in menlo park mall called club libby lu its a salon catered to thee "young adult" they offer party packages. Just go on the menlo park mall website and libby lu is there.
Hope this helps
