Party Help Please!

I have a little one that will be turning 4 this year and we will be going to Pump It Up for his birthday. While we were also concerned about the cost, we did some research on how much we would spend on invitations, food, cake, decorations, not to mention the time and stress of having the house clean and ready to have the party and it actually came out to be cheaper to have the party at Pump It Up that it would to have it at our house.

We would also be able to invite 25 kids and their parents. That is way more people than we would have been able to have in our house at one time. It also makes it a lot less stressful for you and the kids will all sleep good. My suggestion is to have it either before nap time or before bed so the kids either take a really good nap or sleep hard for the night. I was surprised at how much fun the adults had in there as well.

How many are attending? Roller skating if not too many so they could learn. Good exercise for moms and dads

Have you checked out the little gym in Rocklin? We have had our 6 yr olds birthday there two times and its been great!!! The kids get to do fun stuff in the gym and are enclosed and supervised and they have a party room for cake etc

What about one of the new water parks in Rocklin? There is Lone Tree Park and Whitney Park both close to Hwy65. Both have shade, bathrooms, and awesome play structures not to mentions the water park areas to stay cool. My daughter (4yrs) has been to 2 parties at these parks and had a blast both times. I've seen alot of people having parties at Lone Tree Park. People bring extra shade structures, picnic tables, even full sized bbq's! We are thinking of having her birthday party out there. Just an idea.

Try John's Incredible Pizza or (since it is a girl) some of the tea houses do parties and the girls get to wear silly hats and have fun. You might also check oyut some of the girl shops-they do parties or Make-a-Bear.

We have done partues at Chuck E Cheese and Johns Pizza...I know you said you didn't like the lay out of CEC, but for us, with small children it worked out so much better to have the tables right there. Kids can come and go as they please. With Johns' you have to eat first then play...and no hand stamps at the door, so safety and security are my issue there. Good Luck, I would try for one of the water parks...one on Lonetree and the other out by Whitney High School.

In my opinion the bounce places are totally worth it...I have paid $150 for a park reservation and then had to do food on top of it. They are very organized, the kids have a great time, and you are done in a little over 2 hours. For us it worked out great when we were getting ready to move. Much like your back yard construction zone. But...if you really aren't up for the bounce place...what about a park in Roseville with a water feature? See the link below. We use some parks in Folsom that have water features and the kids have a great time and are able to cool off on a hot day.

Or what about roller skating or bowling...my almost 5 year old loves to bowl. I don't know what Sunsplash would look like for cost but that could be fun as well.

Hopefully our weather will get a little warmer soon. Good luck with your hunt. I know what a hard decision it is to make.
