I am a mother of three kids who will be 4, 5 and 6 in October. The 4 and 5 year old are girls and the 6 year old is a boy. We are looking for a place to have a combined birthday party for all three of them. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
M.

We had our daughters 5th birthday at Maple Maze in Maple Grove. It is an indoor play area with climbing tunnels/tubes and 2 large slides, a ball pit, etc. It's in the Community Center and you can also rent a room to stash the presents while the kids play. You can either order food from them, or bring in your cake and drinks - probably even pizza if you wanted to send someone to pick it up. The play area has 2 doors so it's easy to keep the kids contained.

Good luck!!

I just took my 5 year old son to Cheap Skate--in Coon Rapids. the kids had so much fun--(so did the adults). More info at www.cheapskatecr.com Costs about $80 for 10 kids. $6.50 per skater after that, plus food--I had about 15 kids and 15 adults--with pizza and pop and skating passes for everyone, it ran about $200
Another place that my son has gone a few times is Pump It Up located in Ham Lake. It is all blow up play stuff. It costs about $250 but you can have up to 25 kids. Not much for adults to do, but the kids have a blast. www.pumpitup.com

Hope this helps,

There is a chain of motels called the AmericInn and They have a party room that they rent out. Now I live in White Bear lake and the one out here rents the party room for 30 bucks an hour and the party room is connected to the pool. That would be a good idea for a coed party. I have two children ages 6 and 2 the 6 yearold is a girl and the 2 year old is a boy. They were born exactly 4 years and one day apart so we do their birthdays together. We are planning to have there party at the AmericInn next year. This way we wont have to fuss with planning party games and buying prizes. We can pass out goody bags let the kids swim and then have cake and do a pinata outside the hotel. I hope this helps

There is an awesome indoor playground called Eagle's Nest in New Brighton. You can reserve a "party" room, bring in your food/cake/whatever and when the party is done (I think you get the room for 90 minutes or so) the kids play in the FABULOUS play area for as long as you want. The play area is huge and separated so children under the age of 3 have their own area- next to where the older kids play. This was the best birthday party we had for my 4 year old son. We now go there just for the day. It is SO much fun!
