Part-Time Childcare Costs

I have an in home daycare and was a preschool teacher for a large Daycare several years ago. I think the big daycares charge more, however, I charge $40.00 per day for part time or full time. If you mean partial days (less than 5 hours), then I usually charge $30.00 for the short days. I have a contract, which is very flexible and fair and it outlines everything you would want to know. I am a licensed home daycare provider. My part time rate is $45-50/day(depending on age and hours) and in my area this is about average. It varies greatly by area and qualifications of the provider. Being a experienced teacher with 2 education degrees and a masters I may charge a little more. I am unsure of exact rates for centers around here but believe it is more than that!

Hello C. hope this helps, (I am lic. provider, so I am only speaking from home daycare) PT rates generally go for $35-50 per day. Keep in mind this may be for 1-3 days/ a week. Anything pass 3 days (i.e 4 days only) some providers consider FT because they would not be able to fill a slot for just 1 day. And some providers only do a minimum of three days part time, again because coming 1-2 days may be hard to fill the slot for the remainder of the week. NOW THE SECRETS OUT :) HOPE THAT HELPS

I charge $38/day for part-time care (2-3 days per week). My parents pay each day and week, even if they don't come (vacations, illness, etc.). I do mine on contract because it is what I do for full-time employment, but some people may only charge if you come.

I am not licensed by the state, but I do have a Master's in education. Some people may charge less if they aren't licensed.

I pay $50/day for in home daycare. It may be a little high, but I have no contract, so I only pay for days he actually goes w/ no penalty for vacation or anything. Typically if I cancel last minute, I will still pay her for the day (since she counts on the days I tell her as part of her income), but there is nothing written saying that I have to do that.
