Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood: Practical Parenting from Birth to Six Years by Jim Fay and Charles Fay, Ph.D.

When I do the principles in this book, it is amazing. When I don't it's ugly! :) I wish I had known about this book when my kids were babies. Oh well, it's never too late to start.

Any of the Love and Logic books, especially for younger kids.

The Baby Whisperer, forgot his name. He has a video and books on how to calm your infant child and there is a book for Toddlers behavior. Sorry, I can't think of the name, maybe others can help me out here?

Dr. Brazelton's books are good.

Two books. Toddler 411 and "Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline" are great books that offer great solutions to raising happy, agreeable children while empowering the child.

Dr. Sears- The Discipline Book
Lawrence Cohen- Playful Parenting
Alphie Cohn- Unconditional Parenting
Mary Kurchinka- Kids, Parents, and Power Struggles (also The Spirited Child)
Faber and Mazlish- How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen so Kids Will Talk

Some of these focus on older kids, but I found that reading them and forming my own opinions and thoughts helped steer the way I dealt with little ones too. Hope these help! :)
