I'm having lots of pain during ovulation. It seems to be getting worse , the older I get. During ovulation , my ovaries hurt horribly . The pain used to be concentrated to one side but past few cycles , it hurts on one side one day , then other side the next day. I also get worse cramps than during my period. I have had my ovaries checked, no cysts, they look healthy. I'm also bleeding a bit during ovulation, which is new the past few months. Has anyone else experienced this in your thirties? Is this a normal part of aging?

What can I do next?

I did experience it all in my 30's, and while not right away after a couple of years they eventually did find a large fibroid tumor and cysts on both my ovaries. It was too far advanced to treat with medication and unfortunately in my case it all led to massive bleeding for over 2 months and I wound up nearly hemorrhaging to death and requiring an emergency hysterectomy at 38.

As you are developing new symptoms it's not going away so I would advise you continue to seek answers, and ask about an ultrasound to see what may be the problem, this was how they found mine. {{HUGS}}

Yes, I did. But it cleared up after my pregnancies, which were in my late 30s.) A good supplement program could help.

I have had pain with ovulation since I was 35, and increasing pain during my period. Dr. says there is nothing wrong, but yes it has gotten worse as I've gotten older. I don't know if it's normal or not. In my case, I think it's a side effect of being on fertility drugs for many years, forcing ovulation. Funny how now that I'm too old (39) for more babies, I'm ovulating like clockwork!

I started having major pain in my ovaries. I went multiple times to the doctor had ulrtasounds done. Nothing was found. It hurt during sex, ovulation, and it hurt for weeks on end. One day I started a diet which meant no sodas what so ever. Not even diet. Well my pain went away. Then I came off the diet and started drinking soda again. The pain came back. So for myself, soda was the culpret. You may check that and see if it works for you. It is worse on the dark sodas than the light ones. Hope this helps.

Yes, as I got older, ovulation hurt worse/terribly (starting in my late thirties). I never bled during ovulation. Agree with Victoria about supplements. I was given Naproxen but I stopped ovulating @ 44 and never explored other options.

it actually has a medical diagnosis called middlesmertz once i go off the pill i can tell a lot more than if I am on it. It was grand when I was trying to have babies though. With both of them I felt it said hey hubby lets go and there they were.
