take him to a medical doctor. Not a Dentist.
This sounds like a medical problem/illness.

Is he running a fever?

I can't be sure, but it could be Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease - a virus causes blisters to form on their tongue, hands and feet. If it is, it is contagious so he would need to stay home until the blisters are gone - being a virus, it just needs to run its course while they are kept comfortable. I don't think it would hurt anything to take his temp, give him some Tylenol or Motrin for pain for now, then call the pediatrician in the morning. Unless you can get a hold of them now and they can give you further advise over the phone. I would not plan on sending him to school tomorrow until he's been seen by a doctor and you know what you are dealing with.

Look at the roof of his mouth.
It could be HFMD...which is very painful.
Also, tomorrow morning check his palms and feet for blisters.
Call the ped when they open.

Get him into the pediatrician's tomorrow. Call first thing when they turn on the phones so that you can get him in. I am so sorry he feels so bad.

if he has a fever, it could be several things. If he has blisters on his feet and or palms of his hands it could be hand foot and mouth disease.

One of the other mom's on here had a problem with her son - I think it ended up that he has a herpes infection. here is the link...

It might help you.

I would keep an eye on it...especially if the blisters get worse or you find them anywhere on his body!!

Good luck!

Sounds like thrush/candida. Oregano capsules work wonders. No sugar, no dairy, as yeast grows amazingly well in a base of sugar and dairy.

It could be hand foot mouth disease. Check his palms and feet bottoms.
