Has anyone tried those ovulation kits, and if so how did they work?

What can I do next?

I acutally used a saliva tester. I bought mine at Walgreens a few years ago and I know they don't carry them anymore because I tried to find one for my sister-in-law. I ended up finding one on e-bay. It's much cheaper...$20 or less and reusable. It seemed to work well for me. I was pregnant with my daughter within two months and one month with my son. Good luck.

The ovulation kits never worked for me - I never got a dark pink line even though I knew I was ovulating. I have a few friends who had a lot of luck with the Clear Blue Easy digital monitor, but it's really expensive. Charting my basal temperature along with watching for other ovulation signs (for me - sore breasts and slight cramping) worked much better for me (and it's free). I'm pregnant with my first.

I have friends who have used them and they got pregnant soon afterwards. My DR said they were OK, but tracking your basal body temp and cervical fluid is actually a better predictor and free. Message me if you want more info.

I used them with both my kids and got pregnant the first try. I used a brand name (can't remember) the first time, and Target's brand the second time.

I would recommend the digital ovulation predictors - I got pregnant with my son the first time I got the "smiley face"! I know they are a bit more expensive, but there is no way you can read these incorrectly, so can be sure you are ovulating.
Good luck!

I to was courious about this, so I went and bought the clear blue digital ovulation kit (the one that gives you the smilie face) the cheaper ones give you two lines the surge line is sapposed to be as dark or darker than the "test" line to me that can get confusing (a mind does play tricks on a person, so there is a chance that it could seem darker than it is LOL) that is why I went with the digital so I wish you good luck!!!
I picked mine up at Target in eagan for around $25 (I check Walgreens first they wanted $40 for one box).

Yep! I used the First Response ovulation kit and I found out I was preg 2 weeks later so it must have worked! My sister used the Target brand and had the same luck!

I think they can work, but I highly recommend a fertility monitor. It really pinpoints the exact days of ovulation. My second baby was conceived in just two months of trying! Good luck!
