Out of Sync Child Dvd/vhs/other Audio Format?

I am reading The Out of Sync Child. I am very interested in helping my dyslexic husband find a format that he can listen to and understand the information quickly. I have not found an audio version of this book. The DVD is 86 minutes long and pretty expensive-- used VHS tapes are even MORE which is so odd to me! Does anyone have this that would be willing to lend it to me for a week or two? I promise to take good care of it!
Thanks,
A.

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone! Before I posted, I had actually tried the public library, inter-library loan, searching amazon both for used & new items, same with www.barnesandnoble.com. I had searched on-line for used book stores that carried it, and even tried Ebay! Hopefully something will come up through the inter-library loan through the public libraries. Just thought I might try here to see if anyone local had a copy.

try the library. your actual library system may not have it but they should be linked in with the national library system so you can search on and request material from other libraries. I have done this and it works well but it sometimes takes a bit longer to get the books/dvds etc that you want.
like the other mama who posted, I have purchased things from amazon. basically there is amazon and amazon marketplace. the marketplace is the section where you can buy new or used from individual sellers - kind of like "buy it now" on e-bay.
good luck.

Did you look at amazon.com? I'm not sure how they do it, but they offer things at a cheaper price and they are new. I got a brand new phone charger for 1 penny and regular shipping. I was a little skeptical, but when I got it, it was brand new and it works great. We've bought cellphone batteries, hooked on phonics, rechargeable batteries, all cheaper and new!

Good luck!!

Have you tried reading it into a microphone onto cassette tapes for him?
Try inter-library loan at your local library.
YOu can also try the state library in Austin. (for Texas) the local librarian would probably know how to access the state library.
good luck,
L.

Hi A. G.,
I hope you were able to find some help for you husband. If he still struggles, please look into the DORE program which is available in Dallas at The Cerebellum Center which I run.

To learn a lot more in a short amount of time - go to youtube and search DORE - watch testimonials of people who have gone through the program. In particular, Scott Quinnell and Kenny Logan who were both professional rugby players and severely dyslexic. The program helped Scott so much that he now has an ownership stake in the company and is incredible!

Then you can go to www.dore.co.uk to learn a lot more and call me with any questions you may have.
