I was a big fan a few years ago. I read the series a few times. As the movies were coming out I was very excited. But now I feel like they are taking too long to finish out the movies so basically I'm over it.

Do you think that was a smart move on their part to put so much time between Eclipse & Breaking Dawn (part1)? Have you other fans lost interest?

I'm sure I'll be excited when Breaking Dawn does come out but I don't feel like I'll be *as excited if they didn't put a year & half between the last 2 movies.

It would be great if Stephenie Meyer would put out another book to the series while were waiting.

Just wondering,
Mrs. Cullen :)

Added; Yes I've read Midnight sun several times.

What can I do next?

I've read the books and Midnight Sun. I hate the movies. I hate Kristen Stewart. She has ruined the movies. Plus, they have some really really cheesy moments. When they are all playing baseball and the bad guys show up and they all start crouching and hissing at each other. Oh man, pass the crackers!

Now, having said that, I will still go see the other movies, but I won't watch them more than once.

I love your post!!! I am a total Twilight fan!! Just last night I was watching Twilight on HBO and my 4 year old son walks in the room and says its Bella! I love Bella! And I changed the channel for a brief moment and he got so sad! I read the books and fantasized about Edward for months! Glad im not alone!! I really hope they come out with the next movie! Im getting ansy, but I can definitely relate when you say you are getting over it. When I see the movies Im immediatly taken back to it, but they really need to hurry up! And the fact that they are getting a little racier with the next film! Im so excited!!!!! Have you read Midnight Sun, (I believe that is what its called) I really loved what I read. Now, Stephenie Meyer really needs to make the Twilight books but from Edwards point of view. That would be amazing!!!
Thanks for the post got me excited :)

I LOVED the books. When the Twilight movie came out, I stood in line at 9AM to go to the noon showing on opening day. Then I watched Kristen Stewart try to act and it ruined the movie for me. I have still gone to see all of them and I'll go see Breaking Dawn also, but the movies are so bad compared to the series. I really wish they would have picked a better Bella to be in the movies. I also agree with AldensMama....I wish she would write all of the books from Edward's POV. Midnight Sun was so good!

I am with you. They are taking way to long in between movies.

I am also with the others that are anti-Kristin Stewert...she is a one note actress and it drives me crazy watching her...she takes forever to get her lines out and I am so over her...she plays the same angst ridden teen in everything she has ever been in!

Now...ya wanna talk about impatience....C'mon True Blood...and yes, Harry Potter too!

I LOVE the series. And like the others, I agree with Bella's character. I hate Kristen Stewart. She has NO expression on her face, ever, whether she is happy or sad. The Bella in the book is supposed to be really expressive as she has told Edward "People can read me like a book." Her looks match what Bella would look like, but the acting is zilch. Pattinson is a better actor playing Edward and so is Taylor when he plays Jacob. The Cullens' contact lenses are too gold and their makeup, especially in Eclipse, is way too pasty. From the set photos from Breaking Dawn, it seems like they eased off Edward's pasty look and he looks much more natural.
I agree it's annoying how they are spacing both breaking dawn movies. Since they are spacing them out so much I hope Mellissa Rosenberg (the screen writer) doesn't add too much other stuff in the movies that is not in the book. I didn't really like any of the movies so far. They don't do justice to the books. Twilight movie was downright cheesy, New Moon was ok but I didn't like how they downplayed the ending when Edward and Bella reunited. Eclipse was ok but I really was hoping for the leg hitch scene! Oh well. I'll still see Breaking Dawn movies but I'm not expecting much.

Loved the books, couldn't put them down. I finished Bree Tanner the first day it went on sale. I actually do like the movies too, I think they are getting better, each time they put one out. Of course the books are so much better. I would LOVE to see the series continue, or to read more from Stephenie Meyer. I'm looking forward to seeing Breaking Dawn, but not looking forward to my 11 year old daughter wanting to see it. I think I'll preview it by myself first or with a few other Twi-Mom friends.

Never read the books because for some reason reading books in print makes me nausea, but if I read them online I feel fine... I couldn't find them anywhere online.

LOVE the movies, and I don't really mind the long wait in between... Yes, I would love for them to come out one right after another but hey... I can wait for a great movie.

I am studying to be a teen librarian... I think it's a job requirement to be in love with this series! lol It does feel like the movies have a huge spread between them. They did just start filming though. I'm hopeful that because Breaking Dawn is taking longer, it will be a better movie than the previous 3(especially part 2, it doesn't come out until Nov 2012 even though it is being filmed concurrently). Here's hopin!

I believe Stephanie Meyer is currently working on a sequel to The Host and also working out details to the movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1517260/

I read the series once and saw the movies once. I lose interest until another movie comes out, then I want to see it. They are not generally the genre I read, so I was sort of suprised that I enjoyed them as much as I did.

I lost interest in the movies after being very dissapointed in the first one. Seriously, the guy who plays Edward isn't really that good looking... and Kristin Stewart didn't impress either... But I still enjoy reading the books from time to time. You could try reading The Host, it's pretty good. By Stephanie Meyer, but nothing to do with Twilight.

I like Harry Potter, so that helps break up the long down periods. I also like those teeny bopper type books, so I've gotten completely sucked into the Percy Jackson series. But I know what you mean, it totally sucks there is so much time in between. ;)

I agree another book! I want the one that supposedly got leaked so she's not finishing it. I think the one from Edward's point of view. I could NOT get into Twilight. Thought it was so boring. Then I saw New Moon and then I could watch Twilight and read the books! and was excited for Eclipse to come out! I agree though that Kristen Stewart plays her pretty bland and I prefer Jacob over Edward! What is Midnight Sun?
