We had a free trial of HBO and I recorded the third season of "boardwalk empire".. I'm hooked. Is there a cheap/free way to watch the first two seasons? Thanks

What can I do next?

most library's have them on dvd that you can rent. you can sometimes watch episodes on line also. and my personal favorite is to look at thrift stores for dvd series. I got west wing season 1 complete for $4.99 and then also got season 4 for $4.99. you can sometimes get lucky.

Check your library. I checked out seasons one through four of HBO's True Blood from the library this summer.

There a a lot of places on line to watch tv shows for free. You can find many by simply googling the show you want to watch. Sites I often use are project free tv, stream-tv.me, or tvmuse.eu. With these sites the newest episodes are usually posted the day after they air on tv, and you can find almost any show, including HBO and showtime favorites. I have used them to watch many shows, including game of thrones, supernatural, 6ft under, trueblood, ect.

I usually just watch on the computer since I have a large monitor, but when I want a bigger screen or the whole family wants to watch something I just hook my macbook up to the tv. We no longer have cable at all and don't miss it one bit.

But, if you do not have unlimited internet make sure to watch your usage. Watching online does not seem to use as many GBs as streaming netflix does, but if you watch a lot of tv you could go over your usage. I have never had an issue, but my provider has a link I can click to check my usage and then I can call to make adjustments to my plan if I need to.

Check your library - I'd never heard of this show but just looked and my library has three seasons of it on DVD. That's where I get all my movies and shows - a lot of time I have to get on the waiting list for new releases but I don't care, it saves a lot of money!

Good luck!!

Netflix is pretty cheap and you can either watch them all via instant streaming or get them disk by disk in the mail. I am currently getting 'Friends' disk by disk through netflix. It takes forever, but it's so worth it. It's always a nice surprise to get your mail and see that the new disk of Friends has arrived. :)

You should be able to go to HBO.com, and log in with your cable provider info, and watch shows there.

Rent it a Hasings or some other book store where they rent movies and sell them used.

HBO Go is a way to get HBO, see if you have one of the tools they go through.
