I have noticed a red open sore between my 1 year old's thumb and pointer finger. Any ideas on how I can treat it without him pulling off a bandaid and cream? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Band aid makes a "liquid" bandaid that you "paint" on the sore and let it dry. Once it's dry it works like a regular bandaid. Just make sure you wash the area really well and that it's completely dry before you apply the liquid otherwise it won't stick.

I would recommend putting either neosporin or aloe vera gel before the band-aid at bedtime....the neosporin has a topical antibacterial, and the aloe gel has a natural wound hormone in it that will speed healing(and the aloe wont hurt him if he happens to get it in his mouth!! its actually good for digestion too!) Good Luck!! L.

i have a 3 year old and what has worked for me has been putting on cream (no bandaid)at naps and nightime - once she is asleep. Good luck, robyn
