Older Moms of Preschoolers and Toddlers

Hi Stacy. I live in Plano and am a 40 mom with a 17 month old boy. I found a group on meetup.com called Fabulous 40's Moms with little ones. I've only made it to one gathering so far but the organizer and other girl (lady) there were really nice. They organize a lot of different activities in the area but I haven't made it to them because lately a lot of the activites have been for kids ages 2+ and also a lot of times they take place closer into the Dallas area. I'd like to try to do more stuff with them now that my little one is getting older. I know we're not the only ones out here...just have to find us :)

I am 40+ and have a 4 yo Son and a 15 month old Daughter. I understand what you are talking about and you are NOT alone. With that said, I don't know any other 40+ Moms like us.

I have a 5 year old daughter and a 2 year old son and I will be 39 in November. Is that close enough?? :)

I do know what you mean. I have many friends who are in their 20's or early 30's who have kids my age. It seems most people my age have kids who are in late elementary or middle school which is definitely a different stage of life than the 5 and under crowd.

You are not alone! I will be 41 in December and have a daughter who is 5 (will be 6 in December). I felt ancient at the incoming kindergarten parents' meeting! LOL I live in West Plano and would also be interested in meeting some other moms like us!

I CAN RELATE!! I will be 46 in Jan. I have 6 kids. My oldest will be 27 (years)and my youngest just turned 4 last month...

I am in my 40's mom of 7 children...my youngest is 10 months tomorrow:) Your not alone! I feel like I have nothing in common with the younger moms......LOL My husband really feels out of touch....hes in his 50's!

Hi Stacy - I feel the same way. I am 42 with a 2 yr old and live in Plano. I am also a single parent. I am planning to join the meet up group mentioned by Lori as well.

I totally understand how you feel. I will be 40 this year and my son will be turning 4 in December. All of the moms in his class are so much younger and I feel a little bit out of place at times.
