I have an 8 month old son (my first child). And he's developed a tiny rash under both his eyes. It's really an odd place to have a rash. It's kinda looks the same as a rash they would get from drooling. Any clues on what it is?
sounds like it could be excema - are you using any lotions or creams on his face? what kind of shampoo / wash do you use? perhaps he is reacting to one of them. Under the eyes is especially delicate.
Does it look like little white bumps? my son got something like that I can't rember what the dr said that it was but it was not a problem. I would say if you are concerned talk to your Dr.
HAs he had a fever recently, last week? Sounds like roseola. Kids get a low grade fever (100 or so) for a few days, then it breaks, then a rash shows up, usually on the chest and arms/legs, but my sons both also got the rash under thier eyes like that, they kind of had a red-zoro mask rash thing going on.
Call your doctor to check, but I'd be willing to bet that its roseola.
I would call your pediatric nurse. Kids get weird stuff all the time, and when it's your first child, they EXPECT you to call. Kids are not cars. They don't come with manuals. The manual would be too big to publish. Call. They may have you come in, and it might be something as simple as apply bacitracin, or Lotrimin (if it's yeast), but CALL THE PEDIATRIC NURSE LINE.
It may be ecxema or psoriasis. You might want to check with your doctor.
