OBGYN Recomendations in Aurora Area

Does anyone have a great OBGYN in the Aurora area that they would recommend? For my son I went to University of Colorado hospital womens clinic, then when it came time for the birth I had never met the doctor. It wasn't a horrible experience, but I think I could have had more support durring labor and delivery. I'm looking for an OBGYN or smaller group of OBGYN's that will encourage me during the delivery process, not just stand back and watch while I figure it out.

What can I do next?

I live in Aurora and go to a doc over by Rose Medical Center. Check out Midtown OBGYN online. I use Dr. Zarlengo the founding doctor of the practice and he has 4 other doctors in the practice (all female). They are so friendly and inviting. You will love the experience.

I have been seeing Dr. Zarlengo for 23 years and cannot imagine seeing anyone else, however if you are more comfortable with a female doctor then you might want to see Dr. Christee Ofradahl (not sure that spelling is correct). She is my other favorite doctor at that practice.

Good luck!

I have gone to The Group for Women in Aurora for 15 years. There are 3 female doctors in the practice. I use Kelly Gerow, but have heard great things about the other two as well (Janette Andrews and Kathleen Tate).

The address is: 1444 S. Potomac St., Ste. 100 (across the street from the Aurora Medical Center). The phone number is ###-###-####.

Sounds like you could benefit from midwifery care, which you can still have in the hospital. There is a WONDERFUL group of midwives at University called Center for Midwifery. Another idea is getting a doula if you stick with an OB. Check out my website for more info! www.birthfirstdoula.com.
