I'm in need of a new OB. Mine is relocating soon. I'm not pregnant but am thinking about it for later this year. I'd like someone who is knowledgeable, friendly and enjoys not just me but my family. We all like to go to my ob appts. My husband and children will go to a majority, if not all my appts. For sure need a doctor who doesn't mind that and who likes kids. Also, I'd like someone who is not too laid back but not too uptight and anal...someone kind of in the middle. Thank you so much.

Sadly, Dr. Cole is leaving so that is longer an option. I like Dr. Channel and Webb and Oxford in that practice. Dr. Dennis Brown is wonderful and has a great bedside manner. I also like Dr. Tagavilla and Kipa. They are both caring and friendly. Good luck. I am in the same boat because I was seeing Dr. Cole. I will probably switch to Channel or Oxford.

Let me throw in another hurrah for Dr. Dennis Brown. I love him so much! he is up to date on many things medical not just ob stuff. With my second son he made sure that he stayed late so that he could deliver him!! I can't say enough nice things about him. I do have a reccomendation for avoidance. Dr. Mclennan, she is very abrupt and doesn't have a very pleasent bed side manner, she is also very pro abortion if there is anything wrong with the fetus. Everyone that I know that has seen her has only bad things to say. But everyone else in that office is pretty nice.

I usually see a Family doctor for all my pregnancies. The one I would reccomend without reservation is Dr. Bob Thompson from Cascade Primary Care, Valley Medical Center. He loves children and is completely comfortable with the whole family in the examing room. He delivered my fifth child and it was the best birth experience out of all of my births. He genuinely cared about me as a Mom and the worries that I had but he was laid back enough to support me when I chose natural alternatives for my family. Hope that helps!

I see Dr. Kelly Cole. She is with Associated Valley Ob & Gyn at the Valley Medical building. ###-###-#### All the other doctors there seem great, too, but I have experience with Dr. Cole. They don't mind at all if your family tags along. I've seen nurses playing with kids while the mom is with the doc. I took my 18 month in a couple weeks ago to my appointment and Dr. Cole was great about it. Alyssa tried to take my little drape across my lap, tore a hole in it, handed me my undies, and was quite the character, and Dr. Cole had a great sense of humor about it, which put me more at ease! She was fine with me holding Alyssa on my lap during my exam, too, since Alyssa was a bit anxious about that. Good luck!

Funny you should ask. My family just relocated to California and I am going to travel back to Renton for my annuals. I see Dr. Dennis Brown and absolutely love him!!!! He delivered our 5 year old daughter Emma, and he is a wonderful man. His nurse Anjela is awesome too. He is located at Womens and Family's Health through Valley Medical. Tell him Michaelann says "hello". Enjoy!!!

Dr. Tamara Sleeter is right across the street from Valley at the Valley Women's Clinic. She's very knowledgeable in many areas, but she's not a hand holder. She lets you know what's going on and doesn't beat around the bush. I just wanted you to know that up front. I love that quality about her because that was what I was looking for. I would say she is somewhere in the middle. She is also very accepting about family members being there. When my daughter was 2 she was there when we found out we were having twins. My husband came to many appointments with me.

There are many other good OB's at that same clinic. And all the staff is wonderful.

I also like Dr. Hanlon at Associated Valley Ob/Gyn. She's been my OB for a few years. Dr. Webb at that office delivered my last baby and she was great too. They never had a problem with me bringing my 3-year-old to my appointments.

I would have to agree about Tamara sleeter. She has delivered two of mine and is doing my third anyday now!!! She is great and she will tell it to you how it is. And the rest of the team there from the lady who answers the phones to the oncall nurse are all wonderful!!!

I saw Dr. Cole as well as Dr. Hanlon from Associated Valley ob and loved both of them, the rest of the staff is also very friendly. I also saw Dr. Sleeter from Valley and did NOT like her at all she was rude and uncaring, I had a VERY bad experience with her.

I totally recommend Womens Health and Family Specialists. I started going there after the birth of my daughter since my last OB was horrible. They have wonderful doctors and several of my friends see OBGYNs at the clinic. The website is listed for you below:
