No Period but Negative Pregnancy Test

Hi:) I'm 2 1/2 weeks late but have come up negative on two pregnancy tests. I took one a week after I was supposed to have my period and the second 2 1/2 weeks late. I have virtually been stress free and have not been sick lately. I have nausea just about everyday, my nipples are a bit sore, I've been cramping a little bit like my period's about ready to start but it doesn't. Am I just imagining that I could be pregnant or is there a real possibility? Also what should I do next? If another otc pregnancy test then how long should I wait?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all your help! I ended up having my period soon after posting this question. At least I have a bit more info for next time.

Perhaps it's time to call the doctor and have them order a blood test. It will tell you conclusively.
With both my girls the urine tests came back negative. Obviously both times I was pregnant, but it took the blood test to know for sure.

I would go get a blood test done, this way you would know for sure. Good
luck.

I don't know how old you are. Since my early 40's my period has lost it's clockwork rhythm and can range from anywhere from 2 weeks to 45 days between when my period starts. Eventually it will quit altogether. My husband and I can't get pregnant without a fertility specialist. A late period doesn't bother me at all anymore.
It won't hurt to have a blood test to make sure. A lot can happen to mess up your period that's not pregnancy related.

common to get a false negative on a pregnancy test. If it were me I would wait another week and take another test if you haven't gotten your period.
