Hi moms, has anyone out there found a cup that does not leak.My 14 month old will only drink from a cup with a straw. He has tried sippy cups but prefers a straw.I have tried just about every cup out there that states "NO SPILL/LEAK" and every one has leaked from the straw or around the straw. Some of the ones we tried were Nuby,Munchkin & Playtex.Even the Avent sippy cups leak.I now have had to buy a rug steamer because my carpet smells like sour milk....Thanks

What can I do next?

I never tried them but from what I understand, Tupperware makes a no leak cup with a straw. Good luck.

We have had great luck with Munckin cups...maybe you need to screw them on tighter...I found that it the lip wasn't tight it does leak.

We've had some luck with the "Sassy" straw cup. I find if you keep the straw open while you screw on the top the seal is better. Ultimately, we use water in the living room and milk only at the table.

hi

My son has a few of the Nuby flip top cups by Luv n'Care and they don't leak, even when he's drinking from them and tilts them upside down (thinking they're like his other sippy cups) They look sort of like an hour glass with a colored dome flip top and the cup comes in various transparent colors with grip bumps. I got mine at Stop and Shop in the baby isle. The down side is there are several parts to the straw inside and you have to take the whole thing apart to wash it (then not loose all the parts) When you put it together again make sure the rubber straw at the top is pulled tight until it pops on. Good luck with your quest.

Hi S.,

I found a cup that I love for my 15-month old daughter...no leaks! I'm not sure of the exact name, but it is made by Gerber. I bought mine at Stop & Shop in the baby aisle. It is a short, fat, round cup and contains only 6 oz. It comes in clear with red and aqua accents or clear with blue and green accents. If you have a local Stop & Shop, these cups are usually hanging up on the wall with silverware. It also has 2 big handles on either side. The great thing is that juice comes out only when you tip them and it doesn't come out too fast. Your child has to provide a little suction to get juice out. Hope that helps :)

S.,
I have 4 small children and I attempt to keep order in my home wherever possible. Thus to speak to your problem, I have them eat and drink at the kitchen table in their chair. They do not wander around the house with drink or food because little kids find it hard to be neat. It also teaches them that one does not need to eat and drink constantly throughout the day, but only when really necessary. When we were all kids that's what our parents did. There was no such thing as sippy cups or traveling snacks everywhere we went. Just a thought. Good luck.

I use the playtex insulator cups and have NEVER had a problem. I just take out the seal every time i was them and reinsert them when I give him the cup. Good Luck
