I am looking for suggestions on where to eat for Valentine's Day (we will be going out the weekend before most likely Saturday evening)...we are in the Fort Worth Area...We would like to go someplace nice with a quiet/romantic atmosphere. Something not too pricey (less than $75 for two)...we like pretty much any kind of food, steak, italian, mexican, chinese...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank You everyone for all of your suggestions! I have made reservations for Valentines Day at the Italian Inn, it looks like a place we would enjoy : ) We have several special occasions coming up including our 10 year anniversary so I will definitely be looking into some of the other places as well! Thanks!

italian inn...west side of fort worth. singing waiters/waitresses to the piano in the middle of the restaurant. but my fav part, the booths have doors that swing close for a little extra cuddly/kissy.
good italian food w/salad bar. that's def a valentine's day kinda place! :)

My Don'ts:

- Though I have heard some good things about Italian Inn, it's not at all romanic - in fact I thought it was a bit trashy..sorry Megan.

- The Keg too much like Chili's and all of the other chain restaurants. Special meals warrant a special restaurant.

OH SO WORTH IT:

Reata is a wonderful suggestion (a must is their Tenderloin tamales). Don't do the rooftop if cold though. You would never regret a meal here...I'd make reservations ASAP

There are several restaurants that have opened on 7th street (by Montgomery Plaza). Our favorite is Patrizzio's Italian. The decor is modern and elegant and they are not at all pricey. That's our new "go to" for Italian.
The Brownstone is supposed to be super yummy (one of the Top Chef stars runs this)

Have you been to Brio in Southlake Town Center? It's incredible! Dim lighting, nice decor and an overall romantic atmosphere. They are Tuscan Italian (cleaner fare that typical meatballs, etc.) They fill up quick...but it would be worth the wait.

Good luck!

I love the Reata too! You should try to have dessert on the rooftop. Very romantic! Food is great and even if you end up eating the whole meal inside, it''s very nice. I don't know what might be there that's new since I haven't lived there in several years, but we sure loved the Reata when we were there.

There was another restaurant called The Keg that also had great food. I'm not sure if it's still there or not, but we loved that place too. It's not downtown though....it's off of 20 and Bryant Irving I think? Enjoy!

Just remembered too....if you like Brazilian steakhouses (all you can eat...they bring the meat around to your table), then you could try Texas de Brazil in downtown. AWESOME food and atmosphere there too. The salad bar is to die for. Again...haven't lived there since 2007, but these were our favorites back then.

I'm not sure you can get out of Reata for $75 for two people. But I love that place. maybe check out the menu. I also second Brio in SL town square. Since you are in keller, its not too far away.
