Hi there,
I am just moving back to the KC area after my husband has finally left the military. We have a young son turning 4 in October and am looking for a great preschool. He attended preschool where we were before and loved it-it was a Montessori style school and we loved it altogether. My husband and I have been looking at the Piper area to buy a home near the new Legends shopping area. Does anyone have any suggestions for an awesome preschool that is within a 20 minute commute? I would appreciate all the feedback!!!
Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Tots N Tales Montessori School
9000 State Avenue
KCK
Director: Amy Neal
Asst. Director Saundra Kennedy
They have been in business for over 30 years.

I worked there for years, ask for one of the upstairs rooms though..actually since he's four, maybe you can ask for Ms. Charity's room (Red Room) (that's my sister) or Ms. Shari's room (Yellow Room). Charity's room is all the way to the right when you walk in the door and Shari's room is all the way to the left when you walk in the door. Charity is caring and definately has control in her classroom. She's worked there since she was 19 year old and now she's in her 30's. She's not too strict, the kids respect her and she is one of the most respected teachers there. Ms. Shari, she's full of energy and can play around a lot, but she doesn't let the kids get away with a lot. She playful but the kids know who's boss still. Shari's room is the prek/kind. room, Charity's room is Prek. Well, Charity is in the middle room right now, but in a couple of weeks will be moving next door.

Also, Piper has a half day preschool if it's not too much of an inconvenience. When he goes to kindergarten, don't hesitate to put him in their before and after school program. I personally know the teachers in the programs in both schools (family or family friends) and they are wonderful!

If you have any questions, please contact me!

Oh yeah, they are also having a school carnival tomorrow from 10-2. The teachers are running it so it's a great way to meet them. We'll be there :)

Hi and welcome back to KC. My family and I live around the Legends/Piper and love it. I lived in Western Wyandotte County all my life and love it. If you are looking for a Montessori style preschool the best one around that area is Tots'n Tails located at 90th and state ave. Their number is ###-###-####. I have heard really good things about them. My neighboors kids go there and really love it.

Just as the other mom suggested Tots-n-Tales.

I've heard great things about this place.

My son, age 4, is at Tots and Tales at 90th and State in KCK. It is a Montessori school and we have really been pleased. It is just east of the Legends Shopping area, so the drive isn't bad, and it's relatively affordable.
