We are moving from the DFW area to SW OKC (73170) on Monday and really need some recommendations for a pediatrician & a cardiologist. I will need recommendations for an OB/GYN & a dentist eventually as well as a regular Dr. for my husband and me but with 3 little kids having a Ped. ASAP is my biggest concern.

What can I do next?

An awesome OB/GYN is Dr. Wayne Houk he is on Northside Okc but he is great. He has delivered all 3 of my kids, he takes the time with patients and to answer any questions.

Hopefully you have already found doctors you are very happy with...if not, I have listed the wonderful doctors I use in South OKC. Dr. Donna Johnson is a pediatrician in ###-###-####....I LOVE HER, so do my kids and EVERYONE I have ever referred to her. The Dental Depot is a dentist who sees both adults and kids...they are very great with kids and have their stuff together! I have only gone to their South OKC location ###-###-####. Dr. Deiter has been my OB/GYN for years now...I lived in Tulsa when I got pregnant and was thrilled to be able to go back to him to deliver my first child...when we moved back to OKC. Michelle Webster (also in his practice) is awesome too...she delivered my second child. Their office number is ###-###-####.

I love Doctor Betty Harmon in Moore. All three kids grew up with her and my 18 and 20 year old daughters are dreading turning 21 when they have to change doctors. We actually drive quite a ways to see her, but sounds like you may be living pretty close.

Well, welcome to OKC. I can tell you what I think, and I won't go all into it, but I've had a lot of experience with doctors b/c of my medical history, and I've also lived here for a while, so I believe I can give you some good choices.

I don't know who to recommend for cardiologist, but I would start with Integris Baptist Hosptial. It is actually on the north side of OKC, but an excellent hospital. I would stay away from Integris Southwest Medical Center. I and a lot of other people I know have had nothing but bad experiences with their doctors.

An excellent peditrician is Lisa Baych, who is with Great Plains Medical Center. An EXCELLENT OBGYN is Dr. Wayne Houk. Lisa Baysch ###-###-#### Dr. Wayne Houk ###-###-####. Trust me on the obgyn. I had a history of miscarriages and a slew of other problems and had seen doctor after doctor and until he helped me thought I'd never have a baby. I referred one of my sister in laws to him and she loves him. He is the kind of doctor who will actually sit down with you and ask you what you need and how he can take care of you.

Basicly, any of the doctors I've dealt with from Integris BAPTIST hospital are EXCELLENT.

I had to go see Dr. B. Kris Mullins for a cardiologist after my second child was born. She was wonderful and came highly recommended by my Sunday school director who use to be a cardiologist nurse. She did not work for Dr. Mullins but knew who she was. I loved her, she had really great bedside mannors. I would definitely recommend her. Phone: ###-###-#### is her phone number. Dr. Mullins is part of Integris Heart Hospital. My husband and I see Dr. Gerald Mills for a family doctor. We love him. He has been a wonderful doctor. I battle a thyroid condition and my husband high blood pressure and he has been a great doctor. ###-###-#### this is Dr. Gerald Mills number. Now, we go see a Ped. in Edmond. I drive thirty minutes to see Dr. Crittenden because he is a wonderful doctor A++++ with my children. However that might be a huge drive for you. I live in Yukon, OK and it takes me thirty minutes to get to Edmond...but I promise you I would drive longer to see him. He is a wonderful loving doctor for children. ###-###-#### is his phone number. He is part of three or four doctors. They are open until noon on Saturdays as well. I have had to call after hours and had great service. This group of doctors came highly recommended when we moved here four years ago. I go to Dr. James Wall is my OBGYN. He delivered my second child by c-section and I love him. The hospital said he is the best at what he does. I was completely impressed with him in the hospital. I would not change doctors for anything. He was the one who caught a possible heart condition in the hospital and recommended Dr. Mullins. ###-###-####. I highly recommed all of these doctors. All of these doctors are in the same area except the Ped., he would be your furthest drive. You might not want to drive that far. Hope this helps.

The best Peditrician in Oklahoma City Area and has been awarded this several times is Dr. Richard Stanford. His office is at Integris Baptist Medical Center. I have three children and the oldest is 21 years and the youngest is 19 months and he has cared for them all. My 21 year old has even went flying with him. Can't say enough about this doctor and friend.
