New to North Troy Area ... Looking for a Good Allergist & Nursery School

I am "new" to the Troy area. Even tho I grew up in Royal Oak & then lived in Berkley w/ my husband & son for 7 years, I have no idea of anything in the "north" Troy area. I love my allergist but to travel from South Blvd. area all the way over to Woodward (especially w/ gas prices ... even tho they're dropping) is just too much for me & too time consuming with traffic. I need an allergist for myself (severe allergies/asthma) & my 2 year old (almost 3) son. He also has sever allergies. (all year round severe allergies as well as peanut, nut, tree nut & egg allergies).

ALSO am looking for input on nursery schools. My son will be 3 in October & I am going to start the potty training process mid August. He has sensory processing overload. I want something 2-3 mornings/afternoons per week that is reasonably priced & well recommended. Any input would be most helpful.

I live literally right on the edge of Auburn Hills & Rochester Hills in Troy.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

What can I do next?

Look into the Troy Co-op Preschool. It's located on Livernois between Square Lake & South Blvd.

They have a great preschool program that lets you be involved in your child's first school experience! If you're looking for 3 year old preschool, contact Grace (you can find her # under "Contact Us") and she will be able to answer all of your questions :)

Hi T.---I have to apologize that I don't have much to offer in the way of suggestions for an allergist or nursery schools. I would like to ask a question about your allergy problems. Has anyone ever suggested nutritional support to balance and calm your immune system? I'm sure you are aware that allergies are a result of our immune systems being overly sensitive to things that normally shouldn't be a problem.

I am a soon-to-be certified wellness educator and I have learned a lot about how your diet and nutrition can minimize the allergic response. Would you be interested in knowing more about that? I do not charge for my educational events and would be happy to share what I have learned with you. Wouldn't it be great to not have to depend on pharmaceuticals and all of the potential side-effects that come with them? The changes we've made at our house have made a huge difference in my children's allergies.

Feel free to contact me at any time. My number is ###-###-####. I live in Clarkston. I look forward to talking to you. In health, D.
