We took a toddler to Kona Jacks (Nora) for sushi and all went well. We have been to Cancun Mexican Restaurant (Glendale) quite a few times with one and then two and it's been great. We've only ordered Thai for take-out, so I can say about that one.

My family's absolute favorite Mexican place is CanCun. It's on Rangeline Rd. in Carmel. It's definitely family friendly. I highly recommend it. There's one in Westfield, also, which is actually closer to our house, but the one in Carmel is the best!

Try out Ocean World and 86th and Ditch for Sushi, it's cheaper and better than Kona Jack's and there are ALWAYS plenty of families with kids in there. Mexican, try La Margarita at 96th and Keystone, it's yummy!

If you dont mind venturing outside of carmel on 71st and keystone our favorite sushi is at Sakura. Good mexican i would suggest La Piedad in Broadripple and Thai Cafe in Broadripple as well has great thai food. I live in carmel as well and it is so worth the drive.

Hi A.. We live in Carmel too. I am a huge sushi fan, and I have found the best sushi that is family friendly is Kona Jacks. I have heard there are others, but haven't tried any others. So from experience I would go to Kona Jacks.

Hi there! Welcome to Carmel. We live in Carmel too-on the west side. We eat Mexican at an El Rodeo right down the street at 106th and Michigan - a LOT of families there everytime we go - VERY fast service. There are several in the area- there might be a different one closer to you (the website is www.elrodeorestaurants.com). We think Sawasdee at 86th and Ditch has some of the best Thai in town. It is pretty quick service, there are usually families in there, and very friendly staff. Our favorite sushi is Wasabi on 86th. It is a bit of a drive for us (in the Marsh and PetSmart plaza west of Alisonville on 86th), but they have great, frest sushi. The servers are so friendly and will gladly bring anything for our daughter as soon as it is ready (she is 19 months and has loved edamame and rice since I can remember-now we order the yakitori and shumai for her with ice cream for dessert). There are usually a couple of other families there - it isn't a "loud" restaurant but they are usually just as happy to see us with our daughter as they are when we are without (which isn't very often anymore)! I hope this helps!
J.

Also in BroadRipple Naked Chopsticks is kid friendly, but Sakura is a favorite (already mentioned on here). Also La Marg is at 96th and Meridian (not Keystone) and LaPiedad in BR - very good fun and casual! Good luck!
