What part of Fort worth do you live in?
There are several MOMS clubs in the area that offer playgroups as well as many fun weekly activities. It really helped me find some new friends and friends for my kiddos.

You can look for the closest chapter online at www.MOMSClub.org.
If you live in North Fort Worth, send me a message and I can see if you live in our boundaries and can let you know when we are meeting next.

Many years ago (my boys are now 21 and 21), we moved to Florida and didn't know a soul. My kids were 2 and 3. Someone in my neighborhood put flyers out in the mailboxes in my neighborhood calling for "moms and young kids" to meet at a local park for a get-together. I met some wonderful people there, including a lady who has been a close friend of mine for all those years. My boys became good friends with her children and I gained a lifelong friend. She made our time in Florida wonderful and even though we've moved and years have passed, we still see each other. Maybe you should do something like that--it was an incredible gift! Good luck! Z.

If your kids are in school a great way to find things in the City is to go to a New Comers group. You can get the information from the Chamber of Commerce. I went for about three years in Double Oak but there is one in Ft Worth too. They have mini activities a meeting once a month with very fun stuff and speakers. Mini groups can be golfing, bunco, sewing. Antiquing. Car pool or drive if you have to leave early and caravan. Have a great time. I now am working from home after a divorce and stuck with kids all day. Home Day Care making the most I have ever made in my life time. Prosphering and having a different kind of fun. Good Luck and welcome to our state. G. W
