Hi everyone. We just moved here from FL and now that the house is unpacked I need to find doctors and dentists for myself and 2 daughters. If anyone has a reccomendation I would appreciate it. I need to find a pediatrician that is friendly and that my children are comfortable with.

Also I need to find a PCM that is knowledgable about migraines and chronic back pain...All need to accept Tricare.

Thank you in advance :-)

What can I do next?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of my doctors. I am a military wife with TriCare as well. Here they are:

Pediatrician: Dr. Edward Maynard at Iron Horse Pediatrics (2 locations in town--up north and downtown)

Family Practice PCM: Dr. Douglas Swanson (downtown area) -- he has a PA that is GREAT, I see her for a lot of things too (Aimee)

Dentist: Dr. Hans Egbert at Cordera Family Dentistry (up north Briargate area) Dr. Egbert is a dream come true after dealing with some other dentists in the area. Well worth the drive for me! http://corderafamilydentistry.com/

PS- CO has laws that allow dental assistants to perform lots of procedures you would thing should only be performed by the doctor. I found this out when I had an assistant do fillings on me! It was HORRIBLE and I ended up with a lot of pain and problems. Dr. Egbert does all his own work and fixed the work I had done at another office (took 4 trips, but was worth it).

Hi C.,

I don't have any recommendations on docs, since we just use the clinic on base, but for dental care we use the Comfort Dental on North Powers/Stetson Hills. We recently took our daughter there for her first checkup and they were really great with her. I like the weekend and evening hours they offer and I have found the staff to be very friendly. I'm not sure which base you will be at to know if that would be practical for you to drive to or not - it would be a little far from Ft Carson, but we are stationed at Peterson and it is close to that base. C.
