I moved here from Dallas and am looking for (preferably female) obgyn to make the journey of pregnancy as smooth as possible. Any personal recommendations would be really helpful and make me feel SO much better than picking someone off of my insurance list!

What can I do next?

I am in the childbirth education field in this area of town. The doctors I have heard positive things about are Dr. Stacy Norton (I think she's in the same group as Dr. Castillo, whom someone else mentioned),and Dr. Barcio (can't remember her first name). Hope this helps.

J.,

I have a WONDERFUL ob/gym to refer to you and to anyone who needs one...... I know you prefer a female but trust me...My Dr. is really great. His name is Dr. Timothy Waterhouse...he is mainly out of an office on Fannin (in Houston) however, he has an office near Willowbrook also - he is affiliated with Texas Womans Hospital. The phone number for the Willowbrook location is ###-###-####. I have two daughters, both were high-risk pregnancies in which Dr. Waterhouse took great care of me and put all my fears at ease. He did everything he could to ensure I would be able to complete both of my pregnancies and I knew he did what was best for me and my unborn babies. I hope although he is a male, you do give him a chance, you will be so glad you did. four of my friends have already switched to see Dr. Waterhouse and thank me all the time. Finding a ob/gyn is so tough so when someone asks for a referral, I always recommend him. I wish you the best of luck.

Northwest Women's Center is terrific. Visit www.nwwomens.com for more info. I used to see Dr. Norton until I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and decided to keep everything with one primary care doctor. I'd go back to her in a heartbeat if I needed something my new doctor couldn't provide. Good luck!

Hi J.--I am a Certified Nurse Midwife and own a Birth Center on the near north side (I 45 north of Parker). I have many clients from the Willowbrook area, and would like to meet with you if you desire the midwifery model of care vs. the medical model of care.
Many of my clients desire to be in control of their birth experience, with no or few unnecessary interventions or annoynces during birth.
I've been in business 3 years, and have had more than 300 satisified families! Frequntly, Mamasource clients are finding us!

Feel free to call for a consult @ ###-###-####.
thanks, Kathy
