Thanks so much!

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for all your great suggestions!

I ended up putting together a Barbie outfit for my little girl from mostly odds and ends at Goodwill. Don't know yet what my toddler will be, though, I'll have to keep looking. Maybe a little monster? :)

Try the Just Between Friends Consignment Sale in Renton on October 1-3. Its huge and all gently used stuff for kids. There will be tons of costumes. See www.jbfsale.com/seattle for address and details.

We usually look at pottery barn kids too (in Bellevue square), also the Disney store at alderwood mall, or toys r us. There's a big seasonal Halloween store by southcenter mall in tukwila/Renton area too. Good luck and welcome!

I saw a costume shop opening (just for Halloween "season") across from Bellevue Square on Bellevue Way, where the old Safeway used to be. There's always Pottery Barn Kids at U-Village or even TJ Maxx, Old Navy or Target.

There is a party store in Crossroads Mall in Bellevue, one off of Gilman Road in Issaquah, Old Navy at Crossroads also has costumes. Pottery Barn Kids is not at Bell Sqaure anymore (has not been there for several months).

I am not sure how old your kids are, but Carter's makes some very cute ones for the 3 and under set. I know I have seen them at Fred Meyer and at the Carter's Outlet Store (but that is a drive). Consignment shops often have cute ones because most kids wear it for such a short time. I got my son a BabyStyle caterpillar costume at Me & Moms last year. I know there are shops closer to you, but all I can think of right now is Krusin' Kids in Woodinville and Treetop in Redmond? I am not even sure I have those right! We have ordered from Costume Express online. They are good too.
