can i have some ideas for my birthday party? she wants any theme. she likes peace signs and poka dots. i was thinking of having a boys and girls party, then have my daughter pick some of her friends for a slumber party. please give me some ideas.

Karaoke could be fun, too.
Depending on the weather, a water party is another idea.
Movie night would work and is easy.

Video games are cool to most kids, boys and girls.
Not a lot of info to work with, since we don't know if it is boys and girls or just girls...but what about doing nails? You can look up some easy designs on Youtube, The zebra nails are easy to do and you can use fun colors. Polka dots are easy to do too = )
You could do a make your own sundae bar, you could make cup cakes and let the girls decorate there own cupcakes, you could do a build your own pizza bar.
My oldest is very big into the video game Rock band now, if the girls liked that...would be easy enough to just serve cake and have snacks like pop and chips.
Maybe if you did a sleep over find out what kids of movies the girls are into, Twilight is still pretty big.
Maybe you could have a tie dye party and have all the girls bring a plain white T shirt.

they could make tie dye t shirts, lip sync to some fun hippie songs and have a costume contest and a dance off..they could make a disco ball..( big styrofoam ball , glue and lots of silver glitter?
We've done a couple of limo parties where the limo picks each girl up at her home and pictures are taken, etc. After all girls are picked up, the driver drives them around town, etc to let them "be seen". Once we came back to our house and had pizza, sleepever, mani/pedi etc. Another popular limo party we stopped at a nice hotel and all had dinner, late night room service, etc. FUN FUN. I had a suite so the girls could have their space but be chaperoned.
For our daughter's 13th, she wanted a dance. We did the dance with Dj at our country club with about 60 kids. Great time, no gifts of course and a lot of food. Kindof pricey though....by the time we paid for cake, all food/drink/ favors, police officer to make sure no one leaves and comes back in, etc it was around $3000. Everybody still talks about that party and we have gone on to have 3 more at the club but scaled down a bit.
We've had larger parties at our home (our back yard can handle a crowd) and last Octoer we had 120 kids for fall party. FUN FUN but WORK WORK to keep a close eye on everyone. We had 2 police officers to help us with crowd control on that one.

When my daughter turned 13 last spring, I threw a surprise party for her, which was a lot of fun to begin with. At the party, we did a scavenger hunt -- I had put together a list of things the kids needed to find in the neighborhood, and they divided into 2 groups and went door-to-door asking for those things. They had a really good time with that. Things on the list might be something like an old greeting card, a toothpick, a thumbtack, a coupon, a pretzel, and other things people wouldn't mind giving out.
... the only thing is... if you let your daughter "pick" some of her friends for a slumber party after... then what about the other girls at the party? And if they are not picked?
That could be not real "nice" for the other girls....
you could have her and like a small number of her closest friends have a makeover party during the day and then a boy/girl party that night. if you have a F. that sells mary-kay or something they could provide the makeup (like the sample sizes) and then have them do eachothers hair, paint nails- get some stickers for nail designs, maybe even a clothes swap with the girls to get the perfect outfit for the big party that night. also a lot of beauty schools have VERY reasonable prices for hair styles so they could go there and get updos or curls too.
I took my 13 year old to the Minigolf/Go Kart track with about 8 other 13/14 year olds, boys and girls.
I had a fruit cookie cake.
Have her decide what she wants to do and help put it together. She is old enough.

I had a slumber party for my son when he turned 13. It was a nightmare! I didn't get any sleep because the boys stayed up all night and got rowdy.
I suggest having a DJ in your backyard with kareoke. A good DJ could teach the girls all sorts of fun dances plus have dance contests. Don't have boys or you'll complicate things with girls showing off to the boys, etc. They are still too young to date. Have someone doing glitter tattoos and nails too. Glitter tats are safe, easy, and don't sweat or wash off.
