My son is starting Preschool in the Fall, and he is having a "good-bye" party at his in-home daycare. He has been there, at least part-time, since he was four months old. The program is wonderul, and I would like to get a special gift for his teacher/provider. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

A nice gift set from Bath and Body works like something with soap, lotions, and/or something with a mini manicure or pedicure set.

Gift to a Spa for a message and a small gift i.e. toy for the kiddos at the daycare. I just left my in-home daycare after 1-year and that is what I got our provider. I'm going to be a SHAM but if I do decide to go back to work I want my sitter back:)

I would do something for her personally rather than something she needs for the house etc. How about a gift certificate to a nice store or a spa certificate where she can pamper herself.
A nice heartfelt note would be great to add as well.

We always gave our daycare provider a spa gift certificate for her birthday. That way she could escape the "in-home" part of it all. I always thought it might mean more than something for the daycare. The gift was thanking her as the provider, not the daycare.
