Hi Moms,
My family and I are wanting to get a real Christmas tree. Does anyone know of a good place to get a nice Christmas tree close to Lewisville? Also does anyone have any idea how much a 6 to 6.5 foot tree, alittle slim would cost? We are on a tight budget. Thanks,
Pam

We ALWAYS go to Lowes or Home Depot and there prices are more than reasonable, the lots are usually outrageous.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

You can try here. It looks nice when I drive by it. Its the same place that they do the pumpkin patch.

I heard prices for the trees might be higher than last year cause of the drought.
Good Luck!

There is a Christmas tree lot off George Bush Tollway near the Lowes at Trinity Mills.

The Kroger in Coppell has a few trees.

Good luck on price!

Hi P.!

I know you can go to Calloways or Huggins nurseries to get real trees but I'm not sure on the price. I also remember seeing a Christmas tree stand by the Baptist church right off of Main St. & I-35. They would come each year and set up the trees but I'm not sure if they are using this location still....I now live in Denton and haven't ventured toward getting a real tree just yet.

Hope you find something you're looking for!!!

We bought yesterday a 6 foot (or a little over) at the Kroger in Las Colinas for 32.99. I can send you a picture, it is a beauty!!!!! It doesn't have a "bad side" that you have to turn to the wall. They also have bigger ones for 50 dollars.

Good luck, I.

Its cheaper to buy a tree at a store like Lowe's or the supermarket than it is to get one on a tree lot. We got ours at Lowe's, and I think it was in the $40 range, not more than $50. I think if you buy one in the 5' - 6' range, and just get a 6', it is cheaper than if you get a 6' in the 6' - 7' range...but you'd have to double check that, I'm not 100% sure!

Good luck!

P.,

Walmart might be a good place to try. We used to get them there and they weren't outrageous.

You can also look at your local grocery store.

Good luck!

Follow Stacy B.'s advice - go to Lowe's or Home Depot. We have been to all the tree farms close to Lewisville and the prices are absolutely outrageous! There was a big, big difference. Most of the tree farm trees were $100 and up, and that's for a small one. Lowe's is always great for a tree under $50 - I used to buy all our employees trees from there every year, and have never been disappointed. I realize the tree farms need to make money and I'm all for supporting the "little guy", but when the prices are double or triple, I have to go with my wallet not my heart. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
