I am going on a weekend getaway in October and need to purchase a travel bed of some sort for my then 4 month old. There are so many and I can't decide which is best. Wondering if anyone could let me know which one they have been satisfied with and which to steer clear of! Thanks so much!!

What can I do next?

Ditto on the Pack n' Play! Just make sure you know how to set it up and also break it down before you leave for your trip. I use our PnP every day, but really cannot adjust it well. My husband does that.

I'm with Cheryl and Andrea, we have a graco packnplay http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=226543... and find it good (Eliot used it from 5 weeks on and is now 12 weeks). Make sure you pick it up as it's not very light really, but compare it to the others in the stores.
It's pretty easy to assemble though I would make sure you have one go first before you travel, and get your daughter to sleep in it in your home first.
We use the changing table bit but our wee boy was too chunky to use it as a bassinette, though my sister in law does with her one month old. We quite like the electronic thingy that comes with it that vibrates it, and it has an iPod attachment so we have the baby's CD's with wave noise we play at night through the ipod. (what can i say, i married an electronics geek)
A couple of things I would add:
- Have a washable or disposable changing pad handy to use on the changing table (the blue plastic sheets the hospital uses are excellent) in case you have an accident in the middle of the night. We didn't do this at first and found that the pee pooled at the bottom and leaked through to underneath, and you have to take the whole piece off the dry is.
- Don't forget to buy two or three pack n play sheets (depending on how leaky your baby is and how long you are going away)as they fit better. In Babies R Us, they are usually next to the pack n plays and not with the other bed stuff
Hope this helps, happy travels.
PS: we are going to Europe next month and have decided not to take it as he can fully recline in his stroller if the hotel does not have a cot.

Graco do a smaller, lighter pack & play which is great for travelling. We got the Travel Lite which is about 30% smaller than the regular ones and it worked perfectly. My 12 month old can still sleep in it if he needs to. Because it is a pack & play, it is useful at home too - I used to put my son in it while I took a shower so he wouldn't crawl off & get into trouble!

I think Graco is by far the best for features, price, and especially the ease of setup and take down. It's very easy for traveling. We also have the Fisher-price ocean wonders and I really like it, but Graco I think IS easier and better for the money. I wouldn't buy the baby trend if they are still how they were with the poles to set up as opposed to easily popping it open. Just a basic Graco one is all that's needed or maybe one with the bassinet feature too. The changing table, mobile and diaper stacker I didn't find very necessary. You can find a basic one for around $50. Hope that helps!!

I would also highly recommend the Graco pack-n-play for safety, ease of use, carrier features, etc.
