I am trying to find a restaurant in the Fort Worth area to have my husband's 40th birthday party. I am thinking maybe a mexican restaurant or somewhere I can reserve a rooom. I am looking for something that can accommodate around 20 people and is inexpensive. Open to any suggestions.

What can I do next?

Oscar's Mexican Restaurant in Haltom City is the best Mexican food around here. Everything is made from scratch and is very fresh. It is very reasonable, and they have rooms that you can reserve. We live south of Fort Worth, and we drive there to eat when we want good Mexican food.

Have you ever tried the RiverOaks Steak House? You can get a yummy steak dinner for under $10. They have a reservation room. They've been open for as long as I can remember at least 30 years at the same location. There's also Tres Jose's (Three Joe's) located off of White Settlement Road close to University Drive. They have a very nice atmosphere. I think on Friday's they even have like a Mariachi playing for them. There's Pulido's off of Main Street/Saginaw Blvd in the north side of Fort Worth and one off of 377 west fort worth. They're pretty inexpensive. Good luck!

Blue Mesa on University south of I-30 is FABULOUS and has a room that could accomodate 20 easily. Try it!

I LOVE La Familia near downtown Fort Worth. The owner is almost always there and greets everyone as they come in. They have a lot of room and are usually not too busy. AND, the food is fabulous and very well priced. Order the fajitas, they flambe them right at your table!

We had my husband's 30th birthday party at El Rancho Grande in the Northside area. They have an upstairs area that was perfect for our party. It has been a few years so I can't remember how many people we had but it was 20-30.

We just had a 40th birthday party at Los Vaqueros restaurant on N. Main. DO NOT have it there. There food is great, but the staff was not. There was miscommunication about the pricing, the party hostess was not friendly from the start, they were late setting up the buffet, we were supposed to be able to pay w/ credit card or cash at the door...and that was not true either. It was very upsetting because when you plan something like that, you want everything to be perfect, and it was not. Our guests all seemed to have a good time, but the "behind the scenes" did not go well at all. Best of luck to you!

Beto's in Grand Prairie on I-20 to the east of Great Southwest parkway next to Road HOuse Cafe I believe.. They have a back room, do not charge and gave 28 of us all free soppapias (sp?) to celebrate the birthday. We love it there and their food is incredible!
