I need to wash my Boppy, due to a potty training accident . . . and I was wondering if any of you have put yours in a regular sized washer. Or if you have any other ideas that would prevent me from having to throw it out. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have put my Boppy in the washer and dryer after applying Dreft stain remover and cool water. It came out fine. Good luck! Sorry this response is so late.

You can wash it in a normal washer, and then put in in the dryer with a tennis shoe. Boppys don't hold up to a lot of washing normally, so I bought a slipcover, which wouldn't help with a potty training accident, but helps with spit-up and other small accidents. You can get boppy slipcovers at most stores that carry boppy.

Hi A.,

I washed my Boppy several times in a regular sized washer, even on a hot cycle. The color faded after a while and there was a hole once that I mended. But it's completely safe and much cleaner.

A.,
I washed my daughters several times. I also threw it in the dyer to dry. It remained the same. I didn't have to do any tricks to keep the material inside from seperating or anything. Just wash it by itself. If you're concerned about the dryer, let it air dry, it will be fine!

Hello A. in Dallas, this is A. in Dallas!

Funny you should ask - I just washed my Boppy (four years old and first wash) this week. It washed fine in a regular dryer. I did, however, set it outside to dry. I think the label said to air dry?

Good luck to you. I have two boys and would really love a third ...

I washed my boppy all the time. Just throw it in the waher with some towels and then sit it on the dryer to dry. I would put the other clothes in the dryer and place the boppy on top of the dryer so the heat from the dryer would dry it a little faster. I washed mine all the time. Still looks pretty good!

I have 3 kids and they have all had an accident of some kind or another on our 4-year-old Boppy. You can put it in the regular washer (no need to go the laundramat for an oversized tub). Put your washer on delicate or handwash. Wash with Dreft (or whatever you wash your baby clothes in), a little vinegar, and a little bit of fabric softener. It will come out fine. You can also dry it, but that does lend to breaking the stuffing down if you don't have a sweater rack to put in your dryer. It will take a while to dry either way. Good luck.

My girlfriend gave me hers that had been washed. She dried it in the dryer with some tennis balls and although it was a little lumpy, it worked perfectly and did not affect the use at all.

I've washed mine several times due to spit up incidents. Just wash it on delicate and dry on a lower setting to try and help the Boppy maintain it's shape.
