Yes! Got the go ahead from hubby to buy a new stroller! I need expert advice.

I have a 3 year old boy (04/02/05) and a 9 month old boy. I only have my original single stroller & a small umbrella stroller that I used the 1st time around. I feel like I could really use either a double stroller, sit and stand or a double jogging stroller. Not sure which one is the best fit. I would be using it for walks in the neighborhood, zoo, etc. My 3 year old can be lazy, so expecting him to walk at the zoo isn't going to happen. I have a sling I love for the baby, but after a while by back starts to ache.
Plus, I prefer a back & front as opposed to side by side.

I don't want to buy w/o hearing from other moms. I want to hear from others who have kids same age as mine. Which did you buy and love/hate, wish you had bought? What do you highly recommend?

Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

I have the Combi Twin Savvy XL and love it!!! I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 15 month old. I did ton's of research before purchasing this stroller and for the money it is the best buy. It has a cup holder for each child (which is a must have), a middle snack holder, it tri-folds (great space saver), it is very very light weight and steers prefectly. I wanted a stroller that I could get in and out of the car quickly and that didn't weigh 65 pounds :). Now I just use it for places with sidewalks the malls, zoo, and neighborhood walks/parks. We also purchased the Scwhinn Joyride bike trailer that can be used as a jogging stroller. Not sure you would want to get it in and out of your car for everyday use, but if you are looking to buy two I would go that route.

I have had lots of strollers, none of the super expensive ones, which I am sure are nice, but a Joovy, and several Gracos. My favorite is the last one, the Graco Quattro Tour double stroller. You have to go into it knowing that a double stroller is going to be big, unless you get a side by side, which do seem to be smaller. However, I love how this one steers, and all of the features. A sit and stand (my joovy one) was great, but if the baby is not sitting straight up in the front, the older child cant sit very comfortably. I liked the child cup/snack holders in the front seat, instead of the full snack tray, because my son can get in and out of the seat if we are at the zoo etc, with out having to undo the tray. (There are buckles for if you dont want them to get out, but at the zoo when they are in and out in and out, it is a nice feature. I like this one more than the Duo Glider. This is a tough decision, and does depend a lot on your personality, and needs, but for overall use inside or out, we like this one lots!! ~A.~

I have a Joovy Caboose Ultralight Sit & Stand stroller. I love it. My 4 year old gets tired and likes to sit on the bench or stand when we walk long distances. I got mine at amazon for $229, but now they're $399 for some reason. Here's a link anyway. http://www.healthchecksystems.com/product_list/product.cf...

We have a sit & stand from Baby Trend and I love it!!! My boys are 20 months & 3 1/2 and it has been great. My extremely active toddler can stay securely in the front seat w/the 5 point harness & my preschooler likes to help push but loves the option of standing or sitting in the back. It works out really well for us. We found my favorite model & the best ____@____.com,

I have a 2 1/2 y.o. and a 2 month old. Most of the time for short walks to the park I use my old single stroller and have either the older child walk, or put the baby in a sling. But like you, for longer trips this doesn't work. I got the Graco DuoGlider LXI and have been happy with it. Some things to consider are the availability of a tray for each of the children, a parent organizer/drink holder, and how far each child seat might recline. The LXI had all of these things I wanted, and no other stroller did. I also highly suggest going to a store to try them first hand. Lone Star Baby and Kids had this particular one;(BRU didn't have this model) but I purchased it from www.albeebaby.com because it was cheaper there. I did consider the Sit and Stand Strollers that are so popular now, but I knew my son would want to sit down sometimes. I am really glad I went with this. You mentioned your son is a little lazy at times too, so I would definitely stay away from the sit and stands.

Hi L., I just had my 2nd baby and also have a 2yr old. I was given the Baby Trend double stroller from One Step Ahead as a gift from my parents. I absolutely love it, it converts into a sit and stand when we get to that stage. My only 2 complaints right now are it is hard to reach the storage but I fixed that by strapping a large tote on the handle bars for easy access and the baby seat does not recline far enough back w/out some sort of manipulation for a newborn, but that doesn't affect your situation. It is lightweight, easy to manuever and my toddler loves having the option of sitting or standing. speaking of which got to go back to mommy duty. Good luck!

Last year when before my second child was born, I too started my quest to find the perfect double stroller. I tried out LOTS of different strollers - not just walking with them, but how easily they folded up, how they fit into the car, how heavy they were, etc. I found that the front and back strollers were very clumsy to get in and out of the car, very heavy and awkward to fold up. I love the double jogging strollers for when you are home and can leave it there, but they are VERY inpractical to take with out to other places. I ended up getting the COmbi Twin Savvy stroller. It trifolds, is very lightwieght and the seat can lay back completely flat if you need to. It is super simple to get it in and out of the car. I guess it all depends on personal preference, bu that is my two cents. I did try the sit and stand stroller, however, my oldest did not like it. Good luck to you!

I have a 1 and 2 year old so a double stroller is a must! My first purchase was for the Graco Duoglide tandem. This one is great for the mall or grocery store - places where aisles are narrow. Recently I bought the Baby Trend double jogging stroller at Babies R Us for walks in the neighborhood, parks, the zoo, etc. It goes over rougher terrain with ease and has a lockable front wheel. I, personally, couldn't live without either one.
