We bought a house and all the carpet needs to be replaced. My realtor recommended Empire or Georgia Carpets. I wanted to know if anyone has used them or knows of another company they'd recommend that's reasonable. Thanks!

We've used Georgia Carpets multiple times, very pleased with them. They have some good stain resistant dupont carpeting that I'd recommend too.

I know of a company whose prices are very reasonable. You owe it to yourself to give them a call. Write back if you'd like their contact information.

I second Home Depot. They carpeted an entire floor of our house for about $2,000, including the upgraded padding. They took about 5 hours and did an incredible job. They have specials when they offer installation for only $99, no matter how many rooms you carpet. That's what we did. Good luck!

the first 2 rooms we need carpet we went to georgia they are great people who do a great job

but when we did the basement we realized it was going to cost too much so a friend told us and my sister about a "carpet guy" he brought us samples of shaw carpets and it turned out great for a much much cheaper price
let me know if you want his number

We used Georgia carpet after it was recommended by several friends. They are independently owned, have been around forever and are very competitive with their pricing.

We've used Georgia carpeting a couple of times and really thought their pricing was excellent. I had Empire come out and they were very expensive and the guy tried to put pressure on me to place a down payment. I didn't, went to Georgia carpeting and saved a bundle.

We used Georgia carpet 13 years ago when we built our house and have used them again to replace some heavy traffic areas. Love them! We went with the extra thick pad (now standard) and a great grade and have been very happy. My husband worked for Empire for a while last year and you cannot even get the higher grade carpet through them. They sell on commission so there is a big variance as to how much the sales guy will come down in price bargaining with you. If you tell the sales guy that Luna is coming for an appointment after them they will typically give you the lowest price. They always say they have to call a manager to get approval. Good luck whichever way you go!
