Hi D.,

Congrats! Both my babies were born in July. I have used a couple different pediatric docs in the area. I live in Cedar Park also. Chris Spencer is good, but his staff is NOT. I tried to get my 1yr old in for a sick visit, the office said he couldn't see her despite her symptoms, we ended up in the hospital for 3 days...needless to say, we never went back. But the best pediatric clinic around is TREEHOUSE PEDIATRICS!!!!! They are in Round Rock on Great Oaks, not to far. I use Dr. Addy and I have seen Dr. Unite and Dr Chang when Dr Addy was out or booked. They are all AWESOME!!!! and very accommodating. We have been with them since they opened their doors. They also have days and times where they meet with new potential clients for the client to interview them. I can't say enough good about them.

Hope this helps,

L.

We use Dr. Melissa Urrea in Cedar Park. She can treat the whole family. ###-###-####
She is next to the Mr. Carwash in the blue shopping center, across from where Calahans used to be.

Hi D., We have been using Dr. Unite at Treehouse Pediatrics (treehousepedi.com) since my son was born 3 and a half years ago. They are in RR city limits but I actually lived in Forest Oaks too, until 2 years ago. ...we are in Avery Ranch now. Anyway, they are close by! 620 and Great Oaks. They have a sick and well child side. I love that. Open on Saturday mornings and have wonderful nurses you can talk to over the phone if you aren't sure if you need to bring your child in or not. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Dr. Unite and Dr. Addy aren't accepting new patients, I don't believe, but Dr. Chang is. We have seen him as well and he's wonderful!! They also have a new doctor. I don't know much about him but I do know that Dr. Unite and Addy founded the practice and they are VERY picky about who they bring in. I think you'll be happy with them. If you want to make an appoitment to meet them before your baby is born, do it soon. It takes a while to get in for these types of appts because they don't set aside many hours for them. The Nurse Pract. is WONDERFUL too! Good luck.

D.-The feedback I recieved was awesome, but the most votes were for Chris Spencer (ARC), Brent Cardwell (www.cedarparkdoctors.com) and Kelly Thorstad (Lone Star Pediatrics). Good Luck :)

I also live in Forest Oaks, but not a new mom. I do have to say that when we moved to the Austin Area (son was 3) that like others, I did find Austin Regional to be a great choice. The one on Anderson Mill has an x-ray and lab facility right there so its a one stop visit. When your child is sick, you don't care who they see sometimes just so they get the proper care. ARC has always gotten me in at moment's notice (even though we did not get to see his pediatrician at that visit) and have been very good to me and my son. However, you can interview, as you may know, all of the doctors listed here. I know many good books have a list of questions to ask. Don't take it lightly if they can't get your child in quickly. When you suspect something like an ear infection, there is nothing worse than having to wait a long time to see your doctor. Here is a good article if you choose to interview. http://parenting.ivillage.com/pregnancy/phealthcare/0,,42...

My daughters go to Treehouse Pediatrics in Round Rock. They are just off 620 and Great oaks Blvd - right behind the Jack in the Box. They have amazing doctors, Nurse Practioners and staff. I worked for them for almost 5 years. I believe that Dr. Chang is accepting new patients and they are getting a new doctor soon. Their number is ###-###-#### and the website is www.treehousepedi.com
I hope that this helps! Good luck and Congratulations!

Dr. Thorstad, Dr. Dudley and Gwen Collmann, NP at Lonestar Pediatrics are all great. I've always gotten in right when I needed and have received great care and attention (for me and the kids)! The pediatric specialists I've encountered also speak very highly of them. They have 2 offices, one on 620 between Little Elm and Hatch, and the other on Parmer and Mopac. Their phone number is 833-PEDI (7334). Good luck!

I am a huge fan of ARC in general b/c of their after-hours options and their nurse call line that is open 24/7. When we first had our son - we called that nurse line at LEAST twice a week to ask questions. (even mundane questions, they are willing to answer)

My husband and I use ARC Discovery Cedar Park ###-###-####). They have 4-5 pediatricians on staff, so there is always someone to see your child on a moment's notice. We see Dr. Allison Ziari and love her. She's great with our son (10 month old) and is very cautious and thorough. We've seen Dr. Spencer and Dr. Rice there, as well, and they are both great. My personal fave is their triage nurse to help me figure out if he needs to be seen or not. Good luck!

*We live in Forest Oaks, too! The drs office is litterally 2 minutes from our house.

I LOVE my pediatrician, Dr. Erin Marshall. She is amazing and my little girl adores her too. She is gentle, kind and extremely knowledgeable. I know I can ask her anything and she will take her time to make sure my questions are answered and that my little one is taken care of.
She works at Wyoming Springs Pediatrics, just off of 620 and Wyoming Springs road, by the hospital in Round Rock.

I realize she is not in Cedar Park, but she is not far from you. I live in Pflugerville and consider it well worth the drive.

Congratulations on your new arrival!

Dear DV,

I also live in Forest Oaks! We use Dr Spurling at North Austin Pediatrics in the new Hospital office building. She is the newest doctor with this practice and my 2yr old daughter and I and even my husband (who is not a doctor lover!) like her. She is very friendly and helps us through everything. She also explains alot of things in a technical manner for my husband, just to ease his mind. On several occasions, she has even helped us with some home remedies to comfort us when she gets sick and there is not much to do. There number is ###-###-#### for the Cedar Park office. They also have an office at the NAMC at Palmer and Mopac. I hope this helps.

I HIGHLY recommend Pediatric Associates of Austin. They are in Austin on 35th but really really worth the drive. I too live CP and it only takes me 20 minutes. Check out their website and one of their open house days. ###-###-####

My granddaughter goes to Dr. Joe at Cedar Park Pediatrics at 200 Buttercup Creek Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613, Their phone # is ###-###-####. He is very personable and she loves to go and see him. She was a premie and he was very familiar with premies and their complications. His practice is fairly new and you have no trouble getting an appoitment when you need one.

I have two doctors to give to you. One is with Austin Regional Clinic, Dr. Christopher Spencer. He is wonderful and takes the time to listen and get to know your child as well as you. The other is with Scott and White. Dr. Christopher Stewart. We have been going to him because our insurance changed but he is great and even Dr. Spencer's office gave him a recomendation. I have come to love both doctors and my kids (3 boys) love him as well.

Hi D. -

We have been taking our son, just turned 4 yrs this month, to Lone Star Pediatrics since he was first born. We really like both Doctors on staff and Gwen the Nurse Practioner. They also do "new parent" interviews for free.

Hey D. Austin Regional Clinic has great Pediatricians. I see Dr. Wendy Lankford and Dr. Nash. My son and I both go there and have for years. I would not go anywhere else. Although, Lankford is not going to practice for very much longer so she can stay home with her babies. Dr. Nash is great with kids he talks like Donald Duck and is a very gentle Dr. with great bedside manor. Hope this helps you. B.
