I haven't been back in this area for very long.
I am looking for a primary care provider for my 10 mth old daughter. She will be due her shots and her next visit at 1 yr old.
I do not have any health insurance at this time so I am needing a reasonably priced doctor, since I would be paying at the time of service. If it could be a Dr. that would also see my 7 yr. old when ever necessary, that would be an added bonus.
I live in Lavon and any trips to town that I make are usually to Rockwall or Wylie. I will go to Plano if someone comes very highly recommended.
My daughters see Dr. Grace Khouri at Pediatric Associates of Wylie in downtown Wylie. There are three doctors in the practice, and they are all great! We really like it there. We've had insurance, but we had a high deductable so we usually have to pay for the entire visit. I don't have much to compare it to, but I think they're reasonably priced.
Have you looked at taking your daughters to the county health & immunization department? When my husband and I didn't have health insurance, I always took my boys to the Dallas County Health and Human Services in Rowlett. It was $5 each time, includes immunizations, and complete check up. They were fantastic! You will still need a PCP when they are sick. I loved the nurses, they have a whole list of things they go over including milestones. My youngest son was diagnosed with a disorder, therefore we just bring both boys to their Pediatrician now, instead of going back and forth, for records sake.

Dr. London (in Rowlett next to Lake Pointe Hospital) is wonderful and comes highly recommended by several others as well!!!! Haven't compared her prices to other pedi. in the area, but I'm sure you could call and find out. ###-###-####
I don't know how far you are from Allen! They have the new hospital there and many great physicians. Dr.Cooks office is
beside the hospital and they are wonderful. The staff is great and I am sure they would be willing to work with you
on discounted rates because of the current insurance situation. I think almost all of them will work with you
if they know up front.
I take my daughter (17 months) to Rockwall Pediatrics. It's right across from Wendy's in Rockwall on Ridge Rd. Drs. Kurt Pflieger and Elena Chinn are fabulous there. My daughter sees Dr. Chinn for her well baby visits, though she has seen Dr. Pflieger when she's been sick from time to time. Their entire staff is phenomenal. They're so compassionate and encouaging. I've been taking my daughter there since she was a few days old and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Pflieger is also Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology, which is a nice plus! He was recommended by a close friend and also because I took a class from him at my church he teaches for new expecting parents.
