Need Party Favor Ideas for 5 Year Old "Monkey" Party

I'm looking for "monkey" party favor ideas for my son's 5th birthday. I am just trying to avoid the same little bag filled with bubbles, stickers and candy that we always receive from other parties. I'd like to do something different and a little more substantial. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi K.-

I was at Target just yesterday and in their $1 bins at the front of the store they had a bunch of Monkey themed stuff. Also, there is a game called Barrel of Monkeys. If you've not seen it, it's a small plastic barrel that has several plastic monkeys inside. The object of the game is to link the monkeys together by the tail.

Good Luck!

Hi K., I sell personalized monkey frames...I'd be glad to make you some for your party with each of the kids names. I sell them plain for $5 and personalized for $7, but I'd be glad to cut you a special deal for bulk purchase. I could also put a special message from your son to each of his friends inside the frame! Here is the link on craigslist where you can see the frames.

I make altered paint can gift buckets. I could do them in the quart size and fill them with cute monkey things. I can even personalize them for you if you would like. I usually do them filled for about $10-15. You can check out my website at http://www.stinkincutecans.flyingcart.com to get an idea of what I do. I don't currently have any monkey ones on the site but if you are interested we can talk colors and price. I can have them mailed to you. Let me know if interested.

There is a great company out there that does a home version of Build a Bear. I belive that they have monkeys. I don't know how much you want to spend. I love the banana and nut idea. You could have them do a craft. Maybe a monkey mask and tail? Or a cute frame with a pic from the party in it. Have fun. It sounds like it will be a blast. have you been to the Rainforest Cafe? Great place to host such an event.

For the last several years I quit giving the cheasy little throw away bags filled with trash trinkets and candy. This past year my son (7) gave large bottles of Transformer Bubble Bath to his guest, they cost me about $2 per bottle. We've also done tooth brushes w/toothpast (parents thought that was cool, so did the kids actually), we've given playing cards (UNO), and even small stuffed animals. The kids seem to appreciate items of value more than the bags. Now that I own my own promotion products business, my daughter has asked to print t-shirts for her party guests this year and she wants to create the design, I thought that was a great idea. Let me know if you'd like me to look through my products and see what I can come up with, when is the party? I hope this helps!

Monkey's love bananas, peanuts, apples, oranges, basicly all fruits and nuts. For their bags, trail mix, fruit. Be sure that no child is allergic to nuts that you invite.

i love oriental trading for all things party favorish. One idea i had, though, is give each child a ticket to the local zoo so they can go see a real monkey.. or maybe a book with facts about monkies in it.
