My son's school doesn't have a halloween party but they have a paper bag costume parade through the school. The costume has to be ENTIRELY paper. I could come up with some really good ideas but I can't use anything but paper! Any ideas ladies?!?

Thanks

What can I do next?

Update: You can go to www.chron.com/halloweencontest and vote for Logan's potato costume! Vote for my potato!!! Thanks gals.

We finally decided on the baked potato. Of course I had to bribe him to get him to agree. He wanted to be a power ranger and I told him there was no way I was going to try to make a power ranger out of a paper bag. You can see a pic of it on the front page of my myspace page...www.myspace.com/naomilines

Thanks for all the great ideas!!

When I taught school, we made native american outfits from paper bags and also made panchos from them with a newspaper hat. The kids were able to paste feathers and paint their costumes all up and loved it. You can also do a vest & chaps for a cowboy really easily.

What about a box of some sort of food...cereal, mac and cheese, etc. It sounds like a fun way to get creative! Enjoy! ~A.~

Wow! Interesting. I do not know how much time you have but here is a idea. Use a large sack, maybe a large birthday or Christmas bag, paint silver, cut out tubs (or use paper towel rolls, paper wrapping rolls) to go over his arms and maybe even legs - he could be a robot. What about making the large sack look like a barrel and he could be a barrel of monkeys. Add a few tails hanging over the edge of the sack out of paper sacks. A pilgrim would be pretty easy also. Best wishes. Love to know what ya came up with.

Paint a large paper grocery bag white or off white and cut hole in end for head and sides for arms to go through. Paint a large letter P on the front. Paint your sons eye black. He is a black-eyed-pea!
