Hi Everyone!
Quick question - My son is in daycare and just moved to the toddler room (from the infant room). I would like to thank the teachers in the infant room for how well they took care of him. I'm not sure how to go about it tho...Gift cards? Cookies or something sweet? Also, since Christmas is coming up I was planning on giving them gifts too. Should I wait till Christmas or just give thank you gifts now?
Thanks!

What can I do next?

I am in the same boat as you. I would wait until Christmas. Last year, I gave the teachers anti-bacterial lotions and soaps (since they were always washing their hands). I might do the same this year, or gift cards. That is always tough to know what to get them.

I would just wait until Christmas. As for gifts... there have been a few posts about this. Giftcards for teachers/day care are always appreciated... I think Target being the favorite. You could also do a mall certificate too. Or movie certificates. You could also give food gifts. Tastefully Simple is great for this sort of thing (ex. Beer Bread and a Soup with a soup bowl, Brownie with carmel sauce and wooden spoon wrapped cute, etc.). I do happen to be a consultant so I would be more than happy to provide you with a discount. You can see my listing on mamasource as well as a comment from a mom from mamasource who ordered. Or you could also get one of those cookies-to-go jar type things... target even sells those. Good luck!

Hi MS.. I teach preschool in the 2/3 year old program. I have taught preschool for 12 years. Let me just say, first of all, thank you for taking the time to think about a gift for your child's teachers. We certainly don't work in this field for the money that's for sure. So when a parent gives us recognition with a kind word or gift of some sort, we really appreciate it. We feel our jobs are so very important and we really do work so very hard. I certainly take care of my little ones like I would my own children. And many of us come home pretty darn tired at the end of the day too.
We of course love gift cards and homemade treats. Anything you care to give will be greatly appreciated! You are very kind!
Sincerely,
Pam

Hi,
You can always give them some personalized stationery. Teachers love it! I have my own mom business. Check out my business review and send me an email.

They always love gift cards...Target, Starbucks, Coldstone, Dunkin Donuts, etc. to treat themselves. :) I'd say it doesn't matter whether you wait til Christmas or not since it is already the Christmas season but not yet Christmas. That's really sweet of you! I'm sure they will REALLY appreciate it as they always like to feel appreciated as well!!!
