Need New Dentist! - Ballwin,MO

I'm wondering if anyone knows or can recommend any dentists in the list below. I have a severe dental phobia, and found the most wonderful dentist in the world who I have been seeing for about 4 years. However, our insurance changed over the past year, and it's just too expensive to see a dentist without insurance (if any of you can recommend cheap individual insurance plans, I'd be interested in that, too!). Not only are my husband and I overdue for a visit, but I really need to get my four-year-old in for her first visit. I need someone who is compassionate, sensitive to others' pain (I once visited a dentist in the area who practically made fun of me when I told him it hurt while he was working on my teeth!), and doesn't try to do more work than is necessary (my husband had a dentist that always seemed to recommend extensive work). The following list is of dentists around my home that accept our insurance . . . so if any of you can recommend any of them, you'd be a lifesaver! Also, if you happen to know of pediatric dentists that work out payment plans for visits, I'd really prefer taking my daughter to one of them to start out her lifetime of dental visits. We're in the Manchester/Ballwin area. Thanks, everyone!

My husband and I go to Gary S. Traub. I don't know for sure if they are accepting new patients or not. But I grew up with a great dentist who was very gentle and explained things as he went along. Then after being on my own gained a phobia after bad dental experiences. Dr. Traub is one of the good ones. He is much more like the dentist that I went to growing up. My children don't go to him but they have a special "kids" room decorated especially for them. The hygenists have all been super sweet which is nice since you see the most of them. I don't especially like the other dentist in the practice. He was really blunt and, to be quite honest, kind of rude. I've only had to deal with him once though. Good luck from one dentist-phobic to another.

My husband and I go to Dr. Zigler. He is awesome. We are moving and we still want to go to him. I had to have a shot once and I didn't even know he had done it. He is very smooth! I like the dental hygentists too. I highly reccomend him. Good luck.

I live in the area as well and I did not see him on the list but Dr Ronald Gross is outstanding... my whole family goes to him (we had a few cases of phobia) He is wonderful as well as his staff. My son will be 3 in June and I will be taking him there as well. Dr Gross's office is at Manchester and Weidman. His number is ###-###-####. You may want to call and ask about payment plans...they have always been good with us - Good luck
