Hi Mommies,
I just found out that I am prego and am thinking about some of the products I use on my face. I have read that Salicylic Acid isn't necessarily a good thing to use during pregnancy. I need to ask all you out there if you have some good recommendations of a good face wash and oil free daily moisturizure (w/ spf 30+) that would be safe for use during my pregnancy. Thanks in advance for your help!

I am a Regional Vice President with Arbonne International and their products are great! Their motto is pure, safe and beneficial so there are no harmful ingredients for you to worry about. Be sure not to purchase products with mineral oil, petrolatum or petroleum or prophyline glychol....these ingredients are found in 98% of American skin care....also - collagen, elastin, lanolin and gelatin are all animal by-products so stay away from those too!!
My website is www.liveahealthylife.myarbonne.com you can get 20% off + pick any product out of the catalog for free if you sign up to be a preferred client.for only $29, when your first order is $150!

I use a lot of Burt's Bees products. I used the Orange Oil Facial cleanser which is all natural and the Radiance Moisture Lotion with 15 SPF sunscreen has zinc oxide and not all the chemical sunscreens which is good. Another good moisturizer is MyChelle Daily Facial Moisturizer with 28 SPF which you can find at Whole Foods market or online.

I used to use Clearasil cream but had to stop because of the salicylic acid too. The best thing I've found to replace is Witch Hazel, which you can find for pretty cheap at most drug stores. Just put some on a cotton ball and rub it on your skin, it helps with minor breakouts without drying your face. As for moisturizers, I just use the Avon day cream with spf 15, but there are plenty of natural moisturizers out there. I like Aveeno body lotion, but I haven't used their face products. Aveeno helped me with stretch marks & itching with my 1st pregnancy. Good luck!

You might laugh but when I was breast feeding I had really dry skin and after I couldn't put up with it anymore I put on a moisturizer I just had on hand which was Johnson and Johnsons baby moisturizer. It worked great I have sensitive skin and regularly break out in my T-zone but I had no problems with that. Also great exfoliating facial cleanser is either 100% lemon juice that you apply with a cotton ball (which can also make frekles fade) or diluted vinegar at a 1 to 1 ratio.

We use and love Clinique products. I've used them for years and they are dermotologist recommended. Most of my products are Clinique. Money back guarantee, good company. If you go to the counter, you can get samples to tr it out.

Other things recommended by Dr. is Purpose Soap and Cetaphil

Anything without salicylic acid is fine because S.A. is not approved for pregnancy! Your moisturizer should have sunscreen in it, because many women are more sensitive to the sun while pregnant. I learned that the hard way!

The DEAD SEA SKIN CARE PRODUCTS are phemoninal. I know you can find them online and/or malls. I use the facial soap as well as several other DEAD SEA skin care products. I love them ALL!

Might also want to connect w/ a local health food store. They will ALWAYS have peppermint, eucalyptus, .....all KINDS of natural soaps and cleansers. It's hard to go back to the other stuff when you go the natural route.

One of my favorites is a face wash w/ tea tree oil. LLLLLLLOVE it! I got it at a local health food store.
