Hello moms!

EDIT 6-3--hey girls, I should mention that this is for a slideshow of pics from the year to display at graduation and give out to each kid.

I am putting together the end-of-year CD for our kindergarten class. I am looking for some music ideas to put on it. I have a couple of songs I am considering but would love your imput! Please give me some ideas for appropriate songs--growing up, mushy, cute, kids, etc. I will be using about a minute of each song, depending.

Thanks!

I am putting together a DVD for the class with the
pictures set to music. I did a few searches on line
for good K songs for the DVD and here are the songs I
found:
Kindergarten DVD Slideshow Songs
·Jack Johnson- “We’re Going to be Friends” (Curious George)
·Redstone Elementary School Song
·Billy Dean - "Let them be little"
·Randy Newman - “You've Got a Friend in Me" (Toy Story)
·Rascal Flatts- “My Wish”
·Kenny Loggins- “Return to Pooh Corner”
·Paul Simon– “Father & Daughter”
·Green Day- “Time of Your Life” or “Good Riddance” (Seinfeld
Finale)
·Rod Stewart- “Forever Young”
·Rob Thomas - “Little Wonders" (Meet the Robinsons)
·Rascal Flatts – “Life is a Highway” (Cars)
·Carole King – “Child of Mine"
·Sarah McLachlan – “The Rainbow Connection”
·Jack Johnson – “We're going to be friends” (Curious George)
·Trace Adkins – “Then They Do”
·Phil Collins- “Two Worlds” (Tarzan)
·Bobby Darrin - "Itty Bitty Pretty One"
·?- "Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This"
-Louis Armstrong - "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
·Kenny Logins - "Return to Pooh Corner"
·Stevie Wonder- "You are the Sunshine of my Life”
·Duke Ellington - "What a Wonderful World" (Madagascar)

The first 3 to 5 songs I thought were the best. You can
also look into putting songs on the CD from the popular
kids movies of the year.
Good Luck!

Laurie Berkner has two songs on her CD Under A Shady Tree one is called Smile--it is precious, the other is I'm me and You are You. Also Rod Stewarts Forever Young is a cheesy sweet one about a parents teaching his/her child life lessons. Hope this helps!

I made a CD for my nieces with songs from Radio Disney. My kids love the songs they play on the station and most are kid appropriate. I searched for Kids songs on ITunes also.

My son's preschool used music from Grease and some Elvis songs and of course The Twist. It was soo cute seeing all the kids sing and dance.
