I am deciding whether or not I should do a KIDS party for my soon to be 4 year old Boy. He's been invited to so many kids parties that he wants one too. I can't do it at my house but I have no idea why to have it. I live in South Elgin and I do not want to go to far but I would have kids coming from all over. HELP!

What can I do next?

Hi L.!

It seems like all of the moms are having a hard time coming up with new ideas for birthday parties and most end up at Pump it Up. Since it's all the way in Crystal Lake I know of a couple of moms who planned their children's parties at Savage Fun Event Center in Elgin to be closer to home. It's on Chicago St., which I believe is Rt. 19. I haven't been there yet but I have heard that it is like Pump it Up. We just received an invitation for a party there and it has a picture of the room on it so I'm assuming they have a web site. I do have a phone number - ###-###-####. I hope you find the right place!

Ok, we just did my daughter's 1st b-day Cici's pizza in Streamwood. Also one in C'ville on Randall by Menards. It was awesome we got three tables holding about 8- 10 each in the back . The manager was Exremely afficent and accomodating . Whole party cost us $ under 150 with giving each kid $ 1.00 to play games . My son had his 4th at Lunar mini golf @ Spring Hill .
If $ is an object send me a message back And I will give you a great way to save money with a radio barter show. FREE

the rec centre , savage entertainment (jumping stuff)

I have a couple of ideas, my son is also 4.
1. Jump and Jimine or Jiminy in St. Charles, it's a bunch of jumpy things.
2. St. Charles Bowling- Boys love this
3. Mc Donald's has a play thing there is one in St. Charles and one in Geneva
4. My sister did a movie party at Charlestown mall, fun
5. the park district in geneva has a birthday party package that you can have at a school. Or check other park districts
5. Delnor has a indoor pool that you can rent out.

Hope one of these ideas help-M.

We had two of my dd's parties at the Centre in Elgin. At that age, they are two young for the rock wall but you can do the pool party which is 2 hours in the pool and then a private room with pizza or hot dogs with your choice of drinks. They give you a server who serves the food and does all the clean up. I just had to take care of the goody bags and cake. Also, if his party is in the late spring, the Randall Oaks petting zoo is a great place. They have a small party room but you can also just have it outside at a picnic table. We did that with one of my girls and the kids had a blast. The have 2 playgrounds their so the kids ran around like crazy and then we went to see the animals in the petting zoo. Afterwards, they played in the playground until their parents came to pick them up. I paid $20 for feed bags for the petting zoo and that was it.

My son just turned four and his party was at Jump N Jiminy in St. Charles www.jumpnjiminy.com ALL the kids had a great time and you can invite up to 25 or 15 for different prices - it was a great deal - I did the goodie bag myself - but they offer to do goodie bags too. If you choose an off mealtime you can just do snack juice and cake. They help the kids in the bouncy area and clean up - highly recommend

Hi L. - We now have our youngest in school and have been attening parties ALL OVER the tri-county area!! My daughters birthday was coming up so I asked HER what SHE wanted. She wanted to take everyone in her class to McDonalds for a HAPPY MEAL!!! Yep, thats it. I filled out the invites with big smiles on them. All the kids that could make it came, they had their meal <happy meals only> and an ice cream cone right there in the resturant <sorry, NO dirty 'playplace' for the kids to play on!! they talked and ate and had a good time> two hours and everyone was gone / clean up done and all for under $50!!! Ask the child - see what he says. GOOD LUCK.
