Hi,

I am looking for gift ideas to get my daycare provider. We are leaving our day care because I don't work in the summer and I am also exploring new employment options for next year. Do you have any ideas?

I got our daycare lady a wickless candle at Walgreen's along with the plug in candle warmer. The daycare lady after that I did the same thing along with giving some crafts so the kids can all enjoy. Maybe a $50 giftcard to Applebee's or Major's with your candle gift. If she likes flowers I'd give her a giftcard to Gerten's.

How very sweet of you! I am a daycare provider and the things that mean the most to me are the personal things. Take a cute picture of your baby and make a frame with his handprints and put it in a glass frame. Add a poem about daycare providers and how hard we work. Write a personal note inside of a card, letting her know how much you have appreciated her. That will mean more than anything.

If you want to add to it, spa GCs are nice, most providers don't spend enough time or money on themselves. Otherwise movie passes, restaurant GC, etc.

Not sure of your financial situation - but we have done gift certs to Target, Creative Kidstuff and a Spa - sometimes they too need to take care of themselves :-)

We have done Bath & Body works (you could do gift cards if you are unsure of what scent). We have also done Bed, Bath & Beyond gift cards. If you know they collect anything you could get them something to add to their collection. I'm sure they will love anything you have taken the time to get them. If you are on a budget you could do a picture frame with your childs picture or do a handprint or feetprint with a nice saying or poem.
