Need Help Planning 40Th Party

My husband will turn 40 next January - starting early, I know. I would really like to make this a very special birthday and pull out all the stops! I am looking for someplace fun to have his party. We went to 300 in Addison on Friday for someone else's birthday and while it was fun for that party, my husband said that he wasn't good at bowling and didn't want to have his party there. But, he liked the concept of an active location that offered more than just standing around eating, drinking, and talking. So, anyone have any good suggestions for a big blow-out for my loving husbands 40th birthday?

What can I do next?

My husband will be 40 in December, right after Christmas. I'm planning a trip to Cozumel and inviting two other couple friends (who, incidentally, also have a 40th birthday this year) for a few days of fun in the sun to celebrate. AND, I'm starting to plan now so it will be paid for by then!

If you decide you need a DJ please call us at ###-###-####. We have done several birthday parties off of mamasource and all mamasource customers get 10% off. We are First Class DJ Service.
One idea if you don't want to do the typical party is maybe rent an area at the Mavericks game. We did baseball for my dad and he had so much fun but basketball is the only sport going on in January. Also paintballing is a lot of fun. Whatever you decide I hope your husband has a wonderful 40th birthday and he is obviously very blessed with friends and family if you are wanting to have such a blow out.

Would you consider a 2 hour sailboat ride around Lake Ray Hubbard? You can rent the boat with food, etc. I have taken 2 cruises on this boat and really enjoyed it each time! mailto:____@____.com Just an idea....

When mine turned 30 (i know different time!) I rented a small cruise boat and did lake travis with a handful of friends. I realize it's Jan and not Sept but you could do something similar with a party bus in the dallas area. OR you could do something like a party package (or a luxury box!) at TMS or the Mavs (what sport does he like?). A piano bar is also participatory in a non athletic way.....
Or if you really wanted to kick it up a notch do a ski trip!!!

I rented the Sons of Hermann Hall in Dallas for my husbands 40th last August. They have a room called the "bowling alley" that is not used as a bowling alley any longer. Our guests also had access to the bar that was open to the public also.
It's a building that is 100 years old near Baylor Dallas/Deep Ellum (but not the active part of Deep Ellum). Our guest had a blast and some drove from Burleson, Ft. Worth and Arlington.
If he likes an active location, what about a Dave and Busters?

Good Luck

One of our friends had his 40th birthday party at Pump It Up, which is one of those locations with inflatable jumping slides and jump houses. The kids and parents all had a blast!!!! Oh yea, it was a surprise to him! Everyone loved it!
